The worst Karen I’ve ever dealt with was in college when I was working at McDs. I was working the overnight shift and had just gone on break when we got 9 cars in our drive thru. My two coworkers were slammed. So chewing the bite of food, I clocked back in to help. The customer at the window called corporate complaining that I had been eating. Karen nearly got me suspended for a week before I could defend myself. I literally remember asking my GM “So, next time, am I just supposed to leave them hanging?” My other two coworkers were on my side and from then on, we took breaks out of sight of the drive thru windows. And we developed a code for “Give me a sec. Finishing up _____” in our headsets. Never got another complaint during an overnight shift.

The man who kicks and misses had me. I saw a frat member at Rutgers University get put out of a bar next to the restaurant that I about to enter. I watched him throw punches and missed the bouncer everything. He fell 5 times before giving up. Everyone outside was enjoying the show. These people are nuts! I love your commentary my friend. I haven’t actually run into a Karen in years but I guess it was about 10 years ago. My wife and I were in Santa Fe New Mexico we had gone home to see some friends do some shopping my wife and I both love going to the Jackalope on Cerrillos Road and one night, she needed something so we went over to the Walmart, which was not far from our the hotel. We were staying at and were standing there in line and this lady with an East Coast accent I swear it was like Philly was just verbally assaulting this poor little girl that was trying to check her out and you can tell it was racially motivated. What I don’t understand is if she hates Mexicans so much when she moved to Santa Fe it’s whites and blacks are minority there. I grew up there and we never had problems like this. He’s not until these foreigners from the east and west coast are moving in but back to the story. So I’m standing here and I’m listening to all this and after about five minutes and this girl was virtually in tears I tapped the lady on the shoulder and she turned around real quick. She was what do you want? I got her you always a bitch you just getting in some extra practice time She lost it turn around and just slap the shit out of me I’m backing out do you know I’m going girl that’s a salt when she started to hit me again my wife stepped in and just knocked her dead on her ass. I mean she went down. Quick face was all bleeding, and then of course we had to stand there and wait for the cops to show up but they arrested her for assault. I didn’t say a word to my wife other than to just to get her statement thought it was hilarious. I know the girl looked at me and she says thank you and I go sweetie. Don’t think me I’m just doing the right thing here. Just thought I’d tell you about it. It was funny.

In fact the Karen character was invented by black women and originally known as Miss Ann while the male counterpart was known as Mr. Charlie. Plus, while Karens are women or men who get angry, that anger is due to entitlement and/or racism or power tripping rather than being defensive, tired, etc. Plus, as a retail worker who’s also a woman I use the “Karen” term when I deal with rude customers. That being said, I still stand by my original statement in that the person doing the videotaping was the Karen and not the celebrity parent who got off the plane.

I once dealt with a Karen that called me a brown skin man, a racists because I commented on her abusive behavior towards a customer service employee. She a light skinned woman, presumably white called me a racist slur and then had the audacity to call me a racist. What was funny was that my 7 year old son who was with me pointed out that the lady was white and racist by saying “Daddy why is the racist lady calling you racist, when she is the one being a mean witch”? Causing myself and the rest if the people in line to start cracking up hysterically. I’m half black and half white, and I have a couple of racist Karen’s and Kens in my white family that I’ve had to put in their place every so often. The Karen in my family came around and is far less a Karen now, but the bigotry is still there and I’m working to quell it with her. The Ken in my family blocked me because I put him on blast with my family as a whole on Facebook, and shared a racist comment he made to me his cousin. They are who they are, but I’ve learned the best way to combat them is by using their own tactics against them, it disarms them because it blindsides them.

We had someone get banned from ordering delivery from us recently. I was the only delivery driver on staff and had an issue so I was running late on deliveries. One customer, who's order was ready but I hadn't picked up yet, called to complain. They were informed I was out on other deliveries and would take time to get there. They demanded a refund and that they still receive their food which they were informed that they would not be doing. Either you get your food or you get a refund. So I delivered to them and my shift end soon after. I later found out that they complained to corporate and were given a code for free pizza which was not working. They came into the store and decided to scream at my coworkers and thus got themselves banned.

Bjork was not being a Karen. There's history behind that video. Bjork was stalked by that same reporter for a week and kept bothering her about her son, she was nice at first asking the reporter to leave her alone, especially when she's with her child, but after several times being bothered by her. The reporter had even been trying to ask her son about Bjork and her relationships. Her son was 9 years old. Bjork had had enough of that reporter and I don't blame her. Also, the reporter said "Welcome to Bangkok" not "Welcome to Thailand"
