With a Load order you want the more important things for you at the bottom. It just means if two mods edit or use the same file the one loaded last will override the one loaded first so if One mod change a sword modle to look like somthing from a different game and anouther turns all weapons to soft toys loads after it. The modle of sword you wanted to be from a different game will now be a soft toy (if it dosn;t crash your game). Normaly though the load order isn;t an issue.

Lifesaver - 1. create "Mods" folder with capital "M" 2. rename modfiles so the filenames are without spaces 3. copy the resulting filename in mod_order.txt file

Hiya Roxy, I’d really like for you to show off the mods that you personally enjoy! Also, my favourite concept for a mod would be one that allows you to opt in and out for different aspects of hardcore mode. For some people they want some of the features but not others but currently it’s simply all or nothing. Maybe call it custom mode

I like to have a separate file where I place all zipped downloaded mods so I can keep track of mod file names as it can get confusing once you haven’t been in the mod file for some time. Just something I think is helpful :)))

I'm running KCD ver 1.9.6 on PC in 2024. Many of the older mods on Nexus Mods work fine in the current game. Vortex installs the mods successfully. I have not noticed any loss to my achievements after playing with mods. I am hoping for an inventory mod that adds a prefix to an item but does not change the item name itself. Example: I want ARROW - Better wounding arrow I don't want ARROW - Wounding, better The ingame naming conventions cause enough confusion without adding yet another layer of mystery.

I keep getting a message in game, that the mods get deactivated and placed into mods_old. Anyway around this? Nevermind I was able to just rename the folder and it works find now.

I feel like my computer has a curse that makes it impossible to make mods work. I’ve followed every guide I could find, checked mod version compatibility, installed them manually without the mods folder (putting the contents of the mod into the Data folder) installed a single mod by itself to check if other mods are conflicting with it. Nothing works. I’ve been modding my games for 7-8 years now having hundreds of mods in Skyrim etc. Kingdom come just won’t bloody work.

That's the issue right there mate, if you don't have the Mods folder on the root directory of your game you have to manually create one (New folder>rename>Mods) And some mods have some special requirements which you can follow the steps on the nexus site. Update me if still not working, willing to help you out

So I downloaded the black knight armor mod and it for some reason broke my cheats mod and prevented me from putting on armor. No, never had an issue with the original content of the game, maybe try verifying the game files through steam. And if you have any mod installed tell me i might help you out. (Specially if there is a mod that affect some building)

If you have 4k monitor, then even 3070 gives you only about 40-50 fps. Even less in Rattay.

In windows, right click inside the map called "Mods" and choose Next, and then click Text Document. Afterwards, right click on the file and rename it to "mod_order.txt" without quotes.
