He wrote "You watch a video that kind of pretends that maybe your game isn't good enough, but then it turns out that it literally saved the man when he was going through a terrible life trial. I just started playing this game a few days ago, and I agree 100% with your thoughts. What really got to me was your dads brain injury story. My dad was in a peddle bicycle accident over 8 years ago with a severe TBI and is a completely different now, an angry person who just yells at me if I even say hi to him. He believes stories that never remotely happened about me or my mom, won't accept any sort of help from me or anyone, hates my mom (who has cancer, 1 leg and has been slowly dying for the past 7), refuses to buy her groceries (I've been doing it the past 9 years). It's been completely and truly horrible and a nightmare and I have and have had zero family for all those years to help at all. It's very, very hard. This game has become in recent days a challenging escape as well. Thanks.

I heard of this game in 2018 and was hype to hear about it back in the day. Only to my horror that the game was bugged as hell. This killed my hype for it as it was waiting for the game to come out. I forgot about it until we had the lockdown in 2020. I remembered the game and saw that the game was now stable and decided to get the Royal Edition that included ALL the DLC and boy was it worth it. I was beyond impressed with this game and how many hours I have put into it. I played it on Console first and put in probably 80 hours. When I decided to build my PC I got the game and I have at least 35 hours into it, I took a break from it. But Now I'm putting in a lot of hours again after KCD2 Announcement and it's still amazing and beautiful. This game is an immersive one of a kind game. I just hope they do not botch the launch again and deliver a seamless experience.

@@resellingwithjon I was secretly telling you this game is so good it ruined other games for me a bit :D Not everyone feels the same obviously but for me KCD shot straight up to my best games ever - and I've been gaming for several decades, too. It makes getting through a backlog hard: I played my first playthrough of KCD and was absolutely floored. Then I thought "Okay, I never replay games. I have to do something else." So I played The Witcher 3 from my backlog. When I finished I fired KCD back up straight and smiled for two hours picking herbs because I felt "home". Went on to replay KCD twice after that, for a total of three times, and I still want to go back.

I always enjoy you opinions in games and I can’t wait to watch more of you content. I can’t wait for KCD2. Might have to give the first one a replay to prepare. As a history nerd and someone who’s into HEMA, I enjoyed how the developers used real, historical techniques in their combat. I just hope we can use polearms in the next one. The spear was the most common weapon back then, it was kinda weird that the polearm could barely be used and when it was, its like they didn’t what you to have it. Other than that, I loved it!

Also as an archer as well, i appreciated how you needed to level up strength to use certain bows. Thats what most ttrpgs and rpgs get wrong. You need strength to use a bow, not dexterity. It’s one hell of a work out lol.

@kiwi3085 12 күн бұрын
@@eddielopez6796 I know it's a 4 month old comment but just wanted to say, you do see a lot of polearms in the first KCD, it's just you can't hold them in your inventory because they're too big. Most town guards and quite a few bandits (both low and high ranking alike) will carry spears, halberds, glaives etc. that you can pick up and use. You can even train with polearms if you visit a certain knight!

I've had this sitting in my backlog for a year or more. After your description of the depth involved, I just don't know if I could do it. I'm 44, two children, full time job, plus another job on the side. If I was 20 again, I would be able to hop right into this and sink my teeth into everything it has to offer. I just don't think I can do it anymore. I am glad it was your outlet while going through your family struggles. Those types of games I can imagine stick with you for a lifetime. I still remember playing Lego Batman 2 on the Vita, while I sat in the hospital with my daughter as she battled cancer. It was my momentary outlet that helped release some of my stress and anguish of watching it pick her apart a piece at a time. That game holds a special place in my memory. The day I beat it, was also the day they let me take her home from the hospital. Which was what she begged for the entire month she was stuck there. So, it was a joyous day when I got to fulfill her wish and Lego Batman 2 is linked to that wonderful memory.

Hey man i appreciate your interest in our history, but let me say few things. Charles IV was very successful, but during his rule as a Czech king ( Lands of Czech kings was Bohemia, Moravia and part of Silesia) there were much more taxes than during his son Wenceslas IV. And most of people love him. He had some problems with high aristocracy and he was imprisoned by them at least two times. And it's true that at the end of his live he just resign on politic . About the drunken myth. Historian said somone try to poisened him, he survived but as a consequence he suffer for thirst and as nobel he just simply not drink water to much. All that chaos in our lands really happend after his death. And people never rebel against him.

Dang mafia 1 and 2 are probably in my top 5 games. Well at least 2 is anyway. But it’s no wonder I love kcd so much

idk if its just me or if my locks were glitched or sumn but the lockpicking for me was extremely easy, i lockpicked everything i came accross and only got caught when i didnt realize there was someone sleeping next to the chest and they could hear my armor or the chest opening. thats another thing, i rarely took my armor off to reduce noise while lock picking, only in heavily guarded areas, either im a lock picking god or i got some sort of lucky streak.

In honor of Roxy, arguably one of the most ardent proponents of KCD, I must say taking care of your Dad makes you one @sexybiscuit

Gaming since 1983. Kingdom Come has the best lock picking I've ever used :-D

I remember picking this up back when it was first coming out. As someone who loves history and the like, it was great. Janky, but fun
