Intro to me and my truck and life
After my split from my wife I started to live full time in my transit jumbo camper I built. With having 2 young boys to support and look after i could not follow my dreams and escape to the sun touring the world i still needed to work full time like we all do. I work shifts so lucky for me i get alot of time off work for me and my boys to travel.
We are planning on 5 year tour of uk untill boys left school then travel out of uk.
I bought a narrow boat 1st but as much as it was a great life off grid I got lonely and #vanlife was my life line meeting up with others all over the uk for the next 16 months I knew this was my way off life from now on living off grid.
Then 1 day I fell in love with a 4x4 lorry overlander and sold my boat in 24hrs and went hunting but could not find anything cheap in uk :(
Then i found a mint daf t244 4x4 ex military truck and found lgf Commercials in Oldham to build my box and the rest is history as of march 1st 2020 i will be full time in my beast.
Iam looking at attending shows and events around the uk if you have anything truck camper off grid ect please contact me details below i will be showing off my truck as it's been built with intention of showing off LGF Commercials work aswell as full time tiny home on wheels. Had a couple of ambulance-body FC101s when I was stationed in the UK. They're great fun, but the modifications he's made to this one are just fantastic. My favorites have to be closing off and extending the rear, the side door, airbag suspension and power steering. It's pretty much everything I wanted to do with mine, but couldn't think of at the time. Really, really wish I'd kept one and brought it home with me, as they're terribly hard to find nowadays. Thanks for the tour of this awesome FC101!!

What sort of on-road mpg do you get from the V8 please?
