How I would love to have a go on that bike. Pure history, made better with modern materials.

My experience with a 500cc Manx Norton out of the box 125 to 128 MPH tuned by Lacey or Bert 135 142 MPH this was recordings taken in Dundrod Northern Ireland during UGP the QUB 500 two stroke single 148 to 156 MPH facts are facts Ray Mc Cullagh trashed the 500 Nortons and the G50 Matchless on the QUB 500 in every race he entered .

Hi david, yeah that’s true, the qub 500 was a well fettled engineered bike. I was always keen to hear the specs of the bike, but never ever got any. If you know the specs, I would appreciate it if you could share them. Thks

While the Petty Manx's were very good, as were other tuners efforts, but I've been ''in to'' bikes since I was a 10Y/O kid in the mid 60's and I have lost count of the number of ''ultimate Manx Nortons'' gracing the media over the years.

In the first place, this is NOT a Manx Norton - Manxs were production racers made by the Norton factory, this is a Petty Norton. In the second place, thanks to the background noise and the indistinct speaking, it's impossible to hear what power this bike is supposed to deliver. In the third place, look at the angle between the front brake cable and the lever on the drum -wrong, the angle should be less than 90 degrees. And, as usual nowadays on classic racers, ridiculously fat tyres!

240 Km/h , das ist eine Lüge, dafür bräuchte die Maschine über 80 PS! Trotzdem ein tolles Bike!
