I personally LOVE the Crossbolt..... that being said, i'm on my 3rd and so far they all have had the same problem, Jamming every other shot and destroying darts in the process

You should also convert it to half length darts, that's what I did on mine. As long as you use the right magwell adapter it has no issues chambering and loading half darts.

@@Mandalorian_Man a worker flywheel half lenght adapter. It needs to be able to prevent the dart from getting pusshed back out of the mag when the carrier pulls back over the dart.

I think people hate it because it's way more effective to use a rapid strike or a stryfe. I feel as soon as Nerf released great fly wheels people stopped caring about tubes. But hell crossbolt looks awesome I'm buying it and modding it. Thanks for the guide.

Very late on this, but...have you considered some sort of ratcheted 'tuning knob' on one or both sides of the cord? Would allow you to adjust tension for testing as *well* as age of the cord and field conditions, as well as a means to loosen it for storage to keep the elasticity longer.

Others hate the crossbolt mostly because of how easy it is to achieve stronger fps just by giving more tension to the spring. It blows their hard worked on longshot out of the water. Im not referring to those who could afford OMW parts, or God forbid, Xplorer parts, imo people who uses those parts is like putting ferrari parts on a Prius. Now I have a few plastic pipes and a few stephans that could kick butt of any fully modded OMW longshot and then some :p But that would be completely off topic and not nerr stuff ^_^

I left the arms off of mine at first and tied the bungee cord it came with through the slots that the arms go in. The nots I tied slipped apart after the first shot. Do the knots on the new bungee cord slip?
