New subscriber here. This video just popped up on my feed and I am so glad it did. You have some great tips and great finds. I've always loved to travel and I've done it alone and with friends. When I got married and had kids, I had to totally change the way I pack things because I have to organize everyone's things! For what it's worth, even if we go on a day trip, I always carry a seven-day pill organizer witih me that has Excedrin, Motrin, Children's Tylenol, Immodium, etc. I label the tops and it saves a lot of space.

You can also buy mini "Ziploc" bags (like, an inch x 1/2 inch) from a craft store, sort your medications in that, and shove all the bags in an old prescription container. Super small and waterproof 👌

I hope the Away suit cases work out for us. I just bought the larger check luggage and a carry on ! Like the fact they actually give dimensions including wheels and handles ! Makes it easy to ck vs. airline requirements !

Do you recommend doing on a cross-country road trip alone? Or do you recommend going with another person? I am thinking of driving from San Francisco to Indiana and back this summer but if this will be my first really really long road trip. Appreciate this video!

Hi! Yes, I totally recommend doing a solo cross-country road trip. I loved it so much that I did it several times last year from Florida to California and back. I did have my dog with me, so I did have some sort of companion, but other than that, I was on my own. It's kinda therapeutic🙂As long as you break it up into 7-9 hour days, it isn't so bad. @@travelpockets I have driven from southern California to Florida by myself also, it is a beautiful drive but it is long! I am a driver, I don't really stop to see the sights. But i love driving! Getting ready to drive from Puerto Vallarta Mexico to Oregon this December for two weeks!
