Tiffany you are a very motivated woman. I'm so glad I followed your channel. This temperature blanket project is going to be awesome. You are so proper how you instruct this my first tempature. I'm so excited

I'm so excited to make another temp blanket! I made one last time too. I didn't use temperature colors or it would have been 10% yellow and 90% grey. I chose bright bold colors and I love it! I couldn't figure out some stitches so I used others. I learned to count my rows after I finished the first blanket. Yes, I ripped it all out and did it again!

I am excited to follow and log my exercise. So I’m picking colors for 0-3 miles plus added items for bonus colors. I appreciate the alternate ideas because I live in a mostly warm climate and I’m watching for the 2nd time. Also excited about the calendar you mentioned!

August, I started to think about a temperature blanket. I’ve came to do year I was born and in 50 yrs. I also doing hi/low for the 2 years. Still debating on temps/colors for every 5 temps, starting with below 0 to 115, I think was the hottest. Getting it all down on paper. Working on design. Working up pattern, how much yarn it takes. Taking those into how many yards it takes to make sure I have enough yarn to do so. I’m hopping to start by February.❤

So excited!! Planned on organizing a temperature blanket group in my area. Going to see if they want to do this together! 🎉❤🎉. Also, do you think this could be done in squares (one per month?)
@CrochetWithTiffanyАй бұрын
Hi Janet! I love your idea of getting a group together to do this project! How fun! Hmm. I don’t plan on showing how to do each stitch individually. My demonstration will be directly connected to working into the next section of the blanket. Though if you would like to follow the stitch pattern and work up squares you can give that a try. OR, check out my 2024 Sampler Blanket CAL project! I did do squares for that blanket. 😊💖🧶

I wanted to know what do you think scrap yarn will work? Example blues this range reds this range. I have alot of scrap yarn.
@CrochetWithTiffanyАй бұрын
Unfortunately I don't think scrap yarn will work well for a temperature blanket project. Only because we have no idea how much of each color we will need based on the fact that we have no idea what the weather will be throughout the year. What would you do if you ran out of a color? If you choose to forgo the temperature blanket part of this CAL and just focus on the Sampler part then you should be totally fine to use your scraps however you want. I hope this helps!
@DetraReese-lf4osАй бұрын
Can you please estimate total number of skeins required? I could then estimate how many of each color to purchase by looking around last year’s temps. Thank you for providing this fun project!
@CrochetWithTiffanyАй бұрын
@@DetraReese-lf4os I really wish I could help to estimate how many skeins you will need. The only thing I can do is give you the tools to figure it out for yourself. This is a journey into the unknown.

Hi Tiffany. Since I’m a beginner, I did some test swatches of yarn weights I have w 2 different hook sizes and decided to use Lion Brand Heartland #4 wt w hook 6.5 mm. I rewatched ur video again and u said 3 wt or blanket will get too long. Should I rethink my choice?
@CrochetWithTiffanyАй бұрын
Hi @doxiediane6274! That is a great question! Really it's up to you and your personal preference. If you need to use a size 4 weight yarn then it should be ok. Your blanket will definitely be longer than mine but if you're ok with that then go ahead and use that yarn. 😊🧶💖

Hi there! New to your channel, found you for the temperature blanket crochet along. I saw the 2024 sampler was worked in squares. Is this similar to how 2025 will be? For my first temperature blanket I was hoping to do one row a day for the whole blanket. Can I still use the stitch of the month this way? I'm a new crocheter so I love the idea of learning different stitches.

Hi @amandainavandbtr! I'm so excited for you to join in on the 2025 Temperature-Sampler Blanket Crochet Along Project! I love that you also checked out my 2024 Sampler Blanket. For 2025 I do plan on making each day a full row of the blanket. Not doing squares this time around. Sounds like this will work great for you! Prepare to learn SO much! 🤗💖🧶

I have a question, I love basically in Cleveland Ohio. We have days where you wake up and it's 68°. Then as you are going to bed it's now 29°. Then when we wake up it's 25° and dropping. So, you just do that one stitch? Then continue wirh color for lower temps?
@CrochetWithTiffanyАй бұрын
@@BobbiTaylor624 great questions. You will want to choose what temperature you are accounting for. Daily high, daily low, or daily average. Each month, for MY temperature-sampler blanket project, we will work a different crochet stitch. In the video released the weekend right before the new month I will walk you through what to do. 🤗🧶❤️

This may seem like a stupid question, I’m a beginner and want to try this, but how do u choose colors for temperatures? Like blues for colder up to red for hot? Or does it matter?
@CrochetWithTiffanyАй бұрын
Oh! Check out the video. On the side bar you will see towards the bottom I talk about colors! 🤗💖🧶
@asaldanaprАй бұрын
I’d always wanted to make a temp blanket but being in Central FL. (as in TX probably) it would be very dull with 4 to 5 months of over 90 °. I love orange and hot pinks so I would use these colors for 80s and 90s. The center would be so bright but the colors wouldn’t change much. That’s why I’m never very enthusiastic about it, but I will watch you making yours again this year. Happy crocheting!!
@doxiediane6274Ай бұрын
Thanks Tiffany. I did now see that. So I may even look up cool and warm color palettes to help me choose. And if there are any stitches that are too complicated for me I think you said u can substitute?

I am a dead beginner, but I really want to try this. Do you think I can be successful?
@CrochetWithTiffany22 күн бұрын
@@marleneleuenberger892 I think you’ll have fun! A lot of experience! I do recommend that you check out some “how to begin crocheting” videos though before you start so you have better success and less frustration as you go. I won’t be showing how to crochet, I’m going to be showing how to do the stitch. I just don’t want you to get frustrated. But it WILL be on the beginner friend side. 😊

Do I have to use 3 weight yarn or can I use a 4 weight yarn
@CrochetWithTiffany8 күн бұрын
Great question. You can absolutely use a size 4 weight yarn. Just know that your finished blanket dimensions will turn out bigger than mine. I chose to use a size 3 weight yarn to try to help shrink blanket size as much as possible. Temperature blankets are notoriously known for being excessively long. 365 rows makes a pretty long blanket. I'll be using short stitches and a size 3 weight yarn to help. But, if using a size 4 weight yarn is what you have in your stash OR is the size of the yarn that makes you excited then go for it.
