You know, I was actually enjoying this story up until Singularity showed up, reminding me how God awful 3's story was. It really feels like it was tacked on just to give Jeanne something to do. But on a serious note, this is easily the best story of all the Bayonetta games by virtue of it being a more personal story where we actually learn SOMETHING about our protagonists and even our antagonists get something to work with. See, was that so hard to do? BTW I really like the detail of Cereza gradually looking more and more like how she did in Bayonetta 1.

Another detail in the game design that is very cool is it starts out with simple isometric combat, and gradually gets more and more action-based, and the final battle is basically a normal Bayonetta battle. I feel the main point of Singularity in the end was to clear up a lot of confusion on Bayonetta 3, as a lot of people are not aware you play as little Cereza grown up, and NOT as Bayonetta from 1|2, which explains a lot of the seemingly jarring differences in powers, personality and relationships.

@@OniBlackMage I get that, and I even appreciate trying to clear up the confusion, but considering how lame Singularity is as a villain and how polarizing 3 was in the franchise they should have done a better job establishing that in the game proper and not a spin-off, you know?

I like how both Jean and Cereza both have their Hair fashioned up as Cat Ears to show their connection to Cheshire! This also gives us more clues into their Panther or Cat forms!
