Well done. This is an easy way to look back compared with doing New Game +. I've been playing since the game released and have forgotten so much of this. You could tell that they weren't entirely sure where they were going as they clumsily pulled themselves from the wreckage of 1.0, but look at what they've grown it into now.

great to see you do this. i hadn't had what i would consider a clean recap of ARR. it's a vital video because most players who want to 'skip the rough early story' could really use this. Do you plan to recapitate the raid content too? each expansion adds an alliance raid, and a standard raid. some contribute greatly to the ongoing story (mostly crystal tower, coils. alexander, omega). unrelated but, recaps like this of entire class quest lines would be very popular! anyway great job as always , love your content.

I kinda wish the beginning of the game gets reworked like this. Where no matter what job you choose to begin, you will always go to the 3 city states and meet with the Scions in order. My biggest issue during ARR was connecting with the Scions. They just felt like random stranger to me. And it feels like I got introduced to Lahabrea before getting familiar with Thancred.

I am not an MMO player myself, but since I am a big FF fan, I gave this one a shot. And this game gives you so much freedom that I sometimes just forget that I am actually in an MMO. Also, there is a free trail period that gives you the opportunity to play the game till the first expansion without any cost. In other words a great way to try it out and see for yourself!

It'd be a lot more work since you'd need to do some serious research and can't just play it normally, but you really should do the 1.0 FFXIV story, since most current FFXIV players know nothing about it apart from the Fall of Dalamud at the end.
