I find that most people's first Tales of becomes and remains their favorite. Destiny was my first too. I love it so much and it's still my number one as well.

One main reason why i preferred the remake over the original is that Leon's characterization was made better and better battle system. However, part two of this game sure does falls apart.

I hear that even the original JP version of the base game has skits for a lot of needed character development that we simply did not get in the US release. Bummer.

I thought I beat this game way back but I don't remember the last half of this at all. Just the first half of the story amazed me back then but its an even more amazing story than I knew.

Probably the reason you don't remember the second half is because it becomes mostly just dungeons.
