Wow! Love this. My 1907s are going to need a resole soon and this is the exact way I'd like it done. I disagree with some of the comments about them looking too chunky. I think these look even better with a bit more heft in the sole. As the Christy sole wears quickly they soon look too low-profile to my eye, compared to the beefy upper. I even prefer the tan colour to the original white. I guess it's a case of having to ask about the price of this job, given the fluctuating nature of materials and suchlike. Anyway, excellent work from Trimworks2000 and fantastic to have an alternative to a straight like-for-like resole. I suspect he's going to get a lot of enquiries about this resole from now on.

Hi these were conditioned by trimworks2000, so I asked them….. “It’s Feibings distressed leather conditioner… I don’t recommend using it constantly as it does contain a wax so best used in conjunction with the Feibings “leather cleaner and conditioner” as it is ideal for regular use (no wax) 😁”

Had my eye on some Red Wings as my next pair of boots after going off Clarks (The Iron Rangers personally since I'm not quite a fan of the thickness of the toecap) That patina is gorgeous on them

I have been wearing the lightweight 11oz Benzak b04 all summer.. but will probably go back to the 18oz Companion that I wear in this video as the weather gets colder!

Had my 1907s resoled by Redwing. I chose Irish Setter soles that look similar to the Vibrams except I have an actual heel now. I am Hell On Heels, and wedge soles just have not worked for me on anything I have gotten that has them. Do yours make you feel taller and more clumsy? I am thinking I would stumble more with the added height.

No noticeable difference… the profile of the wedge was shaved down to take the vibram so only a few mm I would think

Im in two minds, on one hand i think they are a bit to chunky, and on the other i think they look bloody fantastic. Id only wear though with a 888 or 666 IH type fit though. Definitely not a high tapered denim.

I don’t particularly feel like they are super chunky once on, slightly but not so you notice.. I think the 1907s always look a bit chunkier than other mocs

They are made by Companion… but to custom measurements… I took the measurements from some Oni 689 which I particularly liked, so it might be worth checking those out!

In the thumbnail they looked really good but after watching the video they look like orthopedics. At least to me. Maybe it’s just the color of the sole or the overall thickness. It’s still good work though. As long as you like them that’s all that matters. 👍🏻
