@@maverickworld8192 Indeed. He was great! He met King who had been playing for 5 years. He wanted to be in a band. 1 year later... Slayer. As the story goes. But he was aga or better player than Kerry. Way more talent. All the Satanic lyrics made people ask or assume they were Devil Worshipers. When asked once, Tom said, "You don't assume horror movie makers are psycho killers do you? Same applies here. But it was a valid question if you ask me. Some bands are absolutely into that shit. Never hears of an ax murdering movie producer. Norwegian Black Metal is full of em. Watain comes to mind. They are legit. Even sound good, but I feel like I need a shower after 1 song, so don't listen much.

Krimson Vale venom is more first wave black metal like with Hell hammer and other r ands because they have a similar sound, Bathory defined a particular sound but they’re both pure black metal, in my opinion this is all subjective when it comes to origins, this has been up for debate for years but it’s always fun to talk to others where they think where and when what genre came from

Combat has to be one of the most iconic metal labels ever. Up there with DSP and Banzai for sure. Love the pro-wrestling style promos at the end.

Great sets by three classic metal bands. Thrash at its best. This video showcases the diversity of the metal brotherhood whose members are from all races united by the love of hard fast metal music.

Remember this concert like it was yesterday... The ONE and ONLY Metal concert at Studio 54. Some guy with a shirt that said "Skank" on it was licking his blood off the bar, the bartender was like "Is this what we are doing for money now?"

I was at this legendary show as a 16-year-old thrashhead from NYC down in front of the stage entwined in all its brutality. The Venom clip isn't from that show though. Mantas wasn't playing guitar from what I remember.

+SLAY TANIC I believe that Jeff was a very good artists in his right. Often wondered if it was speed of technical effort. Or the use in the way he presented his art. I saw him play a few times one or two demonstrations.
