Nice vid here is my my proposition (Brainless build) Take orlan for dps or moon godlike for survival (if you choose godlike you will miss helmet slots but in the 1st half of game most helmet are useless and even if you get any good helmet you got 5 other characters to wear that so dont worr about this little drowback) min int to 3 rogue doesnt have any good skills work with int. Next Take enough endurance to not get oneshoted and it allow you to heal if you are playing moon godlike. any other points pump in dex because dex>might for rogue Use the lightest armor take 2 handed style and aim for 0 recovery and stack crit. Use weapons with 0.5 crit multi and enjoy. Take mechanics and stealth. Thats for melee rogue (big brain time build) Int is only good if you want weapons with stunes/prone etc or usable item then you need to max percepcion it is always good for every build. (if you want int build take lore for scrolls and its kinda like playing mage but not mage so its your choise i pref build full dps not any spells rogue but remember rogue got base accuracy 30 and you get accuracy bonues from spells. For stats max int perception dex dump resolve and you can endurance i think just take bow with stun on crit. never go in melee fight because you will die. Take elf, orlan (elf is good too if you dont want to play orlan) or moongodlike ( first 2 race is better i think losing helmet slot here is painfull because you got -slots for items with skills/spells) Go and collect items/scrolls with spells per day or encounter its kinda like playing better mage but remember its 1 character more to control not like eder just let him cook in the frontline with shield. Gameplay is simple stay on the back like hunter instead using animal companion use eder shot with stunning bow on crit and for harder fight start using your items per fight/day or scrolls. Still is very good to have nice mechanic just take merchant background

Pillars of Eternity is my favorite cRPG of all time. Even more than Dragon Age: Origins, because of how much more complex the systems are. I mean, I just love both haha. They're both original systems, inspired by but not copying D&D. I find this approach very interesting. Too bad I don't have enough time to play it a lot, but I'm currently on my third playthrough of this amazing game. On your particular build, I haven't still reached the point of your explanation, but wouldn't it be better to leave INT at 10 in order to put 2 more points into DEX and PER? That's because Rogues don't use INT except for the duration of status effects, there are no AoEs to be affected. On the other hand, DEX and PER are the main attributes for rogue, so the more the better. Also, you could, if you wish, dump RES (the rogue is not a tank, and he dies anyways if focused directly, so a little bit of deflection wouldn't make a difference) in order to bump MIG and maybe a bit of CON (and DEX and PER too). A little bit of RES doesn't change much in terms of dialogue or role-playing. Unless you're concerned about your will defenses (but that's why you'd keep a regular INT).
