Not to mention if your teammates break the rotation, you have to break rotation too to compensate, sometimes your teammates rotation is so bad that you constantly have to defend by being at the back all the time, and due to too much recurring pressure, after sometime you make a mistake, make a whiff, and your worthy teammates go "What a Save!!!"

Sometimes you gotta break rotation to score catch em off guard
@stranger16luis71
@stranger16luis71 3 жыл бұрын
@@nickalfredo314 That's different, and understandable, sometimes that's the play. What I'm talking about is 2 people constantly chasing without letting you go in front like ever, and you having to constantly playing the 3RD man, you will be constantly pressured, and eventually you will make a mistake and get scored. And then your oh so worthy teammates will immediately forget that you had to constantly wipe after their ass-crap all this time. And you become pressured and made a mistake, which is pretty inevitable most of the time. They will immediately go, "What a Save!!" The price of playing responsibly. The best way to rank up in 3s at least, after playing this game for like 1.5 years, is that, "Find good teammates, and if possible, solo queue less in 3s". With 2s you can still sometimes clear after 1 teammates mess, but in 3s, that's difficult if the other 2s are playing while chocking on 2nd tier Viagra.
@Jonbomb97
@Jonbomb97 3 жыл бұрын
@@nickalfredo314 I disagree. High Risk, low reward play. If your team is rotating well, you'll have someone constantly on the ball so you're just gonna end up forcing a double commit. only time you should break rotation is if you have dumb teamate sitting back in goal and not being that 3rd man to cycle in. Ya maybe sometimes you recoginize there nobody pressuring the ball so you gotta cut rotation, but typically if your teamate is about to pounce on that ball, he'll have a better shot that you knocking the ball to the side, and cucking your teamate.
@nickalfredo314

@@Jonbomb97 in that play style you and the opponents are waiting for mistakes you aren’t forcing mistakes, when I first hit gc I wasn’t having success and games were 1-0 or 1-2 until I changed my style for 3s. RLCS was literally ping pong two seasons ago bc everyone was too good for waiting for mistakes but then demos and positioning changes came into play and it’s a lot more exciting to watch.

@@stranger16luis71 idk what rank you are but it’s been awhile since I’ve encountered that sort of tms constantly I get one here and there. Idk man I guess if both are going hard floating back is best but, I do know I’ve had overly passive tms in 2s and I cut their rotation for earlier challenges and get told I’m chasing but in reality their able to set up aerial and passing plays way too much. In 3s tourneys I always assert myself in the first game even if it’s a close game bc that determines how ppl will respect the rotations for the rest of the series

Right now I'm more of a gamesense player because I don't know a whole lot of even beginner mechanics, but I can still judge roughly where the ball is going to end up and where I should be to take advantage of that. Helped me get to Gold 3 without even learning to dribble lol which I should do asap... I'm having an issue with positioning. In Diamond 1 1v1s, I'm finding it's best to not challenge the ball unless my opponent is about to shoot. Instead I find it better to lead the ball (shadow defence) and keep making occasional touches on the ball in an attempt to make my opponent screw up so that I can take it safely. But I've started playing 2v2s lately. I've gotten to Diamond 3 and I've hit a wall here. I'm finding that my teammates like to challenge the ball in a 50/50 a LOT. Even if there's no chance of them even getting to the ball on time. Sometimes this works out in our favour, but more often than not it results in me having to face 2 opponents solo while my teammate is recovering and rotating. I don't know how to deal with these frequent 2v1 scenarios and what I can do to prevent them from happening. It used to be even worse when I was first man and I decided the challenge isn't worth it so I slow down to see what the opponent is doing and my teammate rockets past me to challenge putting both of us out of position. I've stopped this now by simply rotating behind my teammate whenever I decide the challenge isn't worth it. Sure it means that the opponent has lots of space to do whatever they want and nobody's defending against him, but it's better than both me and my teammate being put out of position to protect the goal from long shots. There are a few times that my teammates have said I'm useless and just sit back and let my teammate do all the work. So I decided to oblige them and challenge 50/50s unconditionally like they do and all that resulted in was my teammate ending up in 2v1 scenarios. And honestly as arrogant as it sounds, I don't think many Diamond 3s are better individual players than me. They panic too much when the ball is near the goal and they over-commit every interaction they make. Diamond 1 1v1 players feel like significantly better players than Diamond 3 2v2s in my opinion and I honestly feel like I'm a better individual player than others in Diamond 3. I just can't seem to figure out 2v2 positioning and gameplay. Too much of it seems wasteful and pointless. You say first man needs to challenge for the 50/50. But why? Why can't you just simply let them make their play and take the ball from them when they inevitably screw up? This leaves the second man free to be a fine backup if things go wrong or steal the ball if it roams free. If first man challenges for a 50/50 all the time even if he knocks the ball away from the opponent, he still might not gain control of the ball. That means the second man is forced forward into play while the first man stumbles around boostless and out of play. Often leaving the second man in a 2v1 scenario. Sure sometimes a 50/50 makes sense. But making it a rule when it should be an exception sounds stupid af.

Hey Thanovic, great video, but i think some things need to be said that should have been said. Let me share some of my constant struggles. For Example, How many times you do you see a teamate (usually 3rd) man cross the field to play the ball on the wall in the offensive zone. For example: you've just cleared the zone, and 1st car is taking the ball downfield along the wall, but the defensive team is ready to hit that ball back towards that wall again. Usually you have 2nd man playing wall back up for this play - so he can play the ball back into the goal or set up a cross field pas to 3rd man while 1st man rotates back. But often what happens is 3rd man comes across the field and essentially tries to beat his own 2nd man to the ball resulting in a double commit, and an exposed net. So i think as dos and donts on team play rotate Video would be awesome, cause its one of my biggest pet peeves to see happen in 3s rotation. The other issue i see a lot is 1st man in rotates back to 2nd position and thus cucks 2nd man, and often means a bad play from the 1st man going back to position 2. Essentially i see 3 man team play 2s rotation while 3rd man sits back waiting for when he can go in and take a touch, while the 1st 2 guys in never clear the zone. This is especially bad at Diamond/Champ level, which is sadly where i am. Lastly in 2s, the one of the biggest and dumbest moves i constantly the following scenario: 1st man plays the ball into the corner, defensive team blocks sending that ball upward into the corner. 1st man needs time to clear out, but i often see 2nd man come slamming in to force the ball back to the middle, and now you have both of you in the corner with the defensive team having a wide open field to play back against your goal. If your that 2nd man trying to force that ball back to middle, ask your self - Who are you passing to? I mean really? there's only 2 of you. You cant be going deep into the corner as the 2nd man, without seeing your teamate run back. Its just plain dumb and Selfish players that are too ball focused.

The main thing that helped me in 2v2 is fake challenging. I was so used to just taking a 50 whenever I'm first man (in 3v3) but just driving up and turning without going for the ball is much safer and often gives posession to your teammate while you have a better recovery

This would be awesome if I ever actually had teammates that knew how to rotate. Instead, I sit there playing the third man position waiting for *anyone* to rotate back, but no one does until I'm facing a 3v1 while my teammates are both stuck in the opponent's net.

Then they blame you because you didn't save a close range pass play shot. And at 2-0 they ask to forfeit and quit.

until you hit diamond 2 if you are not ranking up (even solo queue) it is because you aren't good enough

@@youtubewanderer7739 It was not to say that we don't rank up because of the mates. But it's frustrating when you are paired with a ballchaser. Still trying to fill the roles 1, 2 or 3 which are left is the best to minimize the loss.

Came here to say this. I end up third man the whole game cause no one ever rotates out they just ball chase.
