I used to practice it a lot, but it was mostly during matches, which means not being afraid to take the risk and die. I don't like the "slow" positiniong methods, because they also partly seem unreliable and take time to carefully setup, which is why I do the Waveland > Dash off method in BF. For the ones in FD & Kalos, I try using the center circle as a pointer (and sometimes in BF).
