First time shaving with this razor yesterday morning and it was outstanding! It took down two days of growth by 90%+ on the first pass. If I wasn't going for a smooth face, I would have stopped right there. It's also by far the mildest razor I have used. There's zero blade feel. I would have to intentionally press hard to try and nick myself. Some may prefer more feedback, but for those who just want an effortless daily shave, then this is the razor for them. Better than a Henson. Simply amazing!

It needs regular use in my shave den. Gonna be testing all blades and see whats best. I think it will shave well with about any blade. Mild, Comfortable, and effective.

Awesome shave, David! I might have to look into their bronze razors a bit and do some more research on whether to get the Solid Bar or Open Comb. Not too much of an aluminum person (despite me liking the Henson, but I use a different handle with that), so I think going a step up would be better. Great quality razors. Hi, I'm looking to pick up a safety razor and I've been learning so much from your detailed impressions-thank you! How do you think this slant compares to the regular Timeless aluminum, as far as capabilities as an only razor handling various levels of growth? I know both are said to be fairly mild, but is there much practical difference between them; is one likely to be better at handling longer growth? I'm looking to keep my neck shaved smooth but face will vary between light trimming on cheeks and beard edges or entirely taking off a month or more of slightly coarse beard, so I'm wondering if the slant's larger gap makes it more versatile in this regard?
@OhioShaves2 ай бұрын
I can say I like the slant over the aluminum razor. It tends to be a little smoother for me and tackling growth is no problem for this razor

The one thing I'll give them points for on their ALSB45 razor...working with or without the washer. It definitely bucks the trend where if a razor comes with the washer it won't work without it. I think these two razors show one important thing, you can have a mild razor with the efficiency of those one would classify as aggressive. Honestly both look like they would make perfect daily drivers and one pass razors at that with the right blade. You also have to tip your hat to them for this, their AL razor, even with a stand, comes in at a more affordable price point than most. Good video.

Interesting, now I have to really study up on slants. I’m so new to wet shaving, the slant scares me a little. You make it seem effortless. Great video! #ohioshavestimeless.

#OhioShavesTimeless Slants are intimidating but that precision engineering gives confidence. I'll try a slant one day and my first pair will definitely be the timeless 👍

Great company and the engineering is out of this world

Just wondering why it's called a slant razor. What part of the razor is slanted?
@OhioShaves8 ай бұрын
@@BryanD_XRP so the base plate actually has a curved cut to the top side of the plate to bend the actual blade. Brand new concept and the slant Razor design.

#OhioShavesTimeless. Great video as usual. You converted me to using a safety razor about a year ago. I started with a Leaf Twig, then graduated to a Rockwell 6C with the Personna blade on a level 2/3. Thanks for doing this.

#OhioShavesTimeless thanks for the awsome video. It's good that mild razors work for you. Hate seeing irritation in a shave since i always want people to have a nice, luxurious and confortable shave everytime.
