That is an awesome build. The car is a sleeper if you don't hear that sweet exhaust. I love the NOS purge through the antenna. And just the fact that's it's an early Mustang coupe makes it all the cooler. My sister totaled one way back in 1979. It was brand new and she rolled it. She was only 16 so I guess she is forgiven, and it only had an anemic 4 cylinder in it.

I really like how stock and "old man spec" this Fox Body Mustang appears to be, and I'm going to assume that this has an exhaust cut-out for when they go to the strip and it doesn't ACTUALLY sound like that driving down public roads. I need to take notes for how the guy put the NOS purge in the antenna, that is really clever! LOVE these early Fox Bodies, you just don't see them that much anymore!

I had a two tone tan and beige 82 Mustang that was similar. Not nearly as fast, but I swapped in a 68 302 with a cam and headers in place of the 4.2 V8. Had whitewalls and stock hubcaps for a while until I put a set of ten holes on it. Still looked like Grandmas Mustang. I love this car, the whitewalls, the wire hubcaps, and the purge thru the antenna was the topping on the cake. One thing though. Don't most tracks make you remove hubcaps?

Saw a Mustang II Gia vinyl roof notchback with a hood ornament and wire wheel covers in the Chamois color (think lobster bisque) inside and out, sitting at a local shop the other day. It was so *ahem* aesthetically challenged, it would make the perfect sleeper.

Read through the replies to dreamachine8584's comment re. welded-on hubcaps. One reply says you can look right through the spokes on the front wheel, it's a custom wheel made to look like a stock wheel cover. IDK, but it makes sense.

I saw it in person once, and if you plug your ears, look past the foot and a half wide rear tires, and pretend to not notice the car almost shaking itself apart at idle, it's a hell of a sleeper @@tmmurphy
