Thanks for that, just the comparison I was looking for. Well.... I looked at these on my 25" Dell photo monitor and could hardly tell the difference. If I had no 18-50 lens, I'd buy the Sigma. But since I have the kit lens, I think I'll just stop down a bit to f5.6 plus or put it on a tripod if I really need a good photo. Otherwise I'll enjoy the small cheaper and wider lens knowing it will be good enough for all but largest of prints, and then only to a pixel peeper most likely.

Exactly! There is a slight side note to that is how important bokeh is to you, if you need it for what ever creative reason, I do really like the bokeh on the Sigma; but the kit is a beast still in my opinion

Thanks for the review. That's exactly what I was looking for. I have a question please, wich lense you did when explaining in the table ? I am looking for this angle. Not sure If I can have with the sigma 18-50. Thank brother!

The lens in the table is a different one, but that field of view should be achievable with the 18-50mm.

It’s really not too bad for photography! The more you photograph the easier it gets. Especially during the day when you can shoot at higher exposure rates

Well, neither one of those two lenses is really good for a6000... The kit lens has OSS but is sharp just in center. Taking shots at f3.5 sides and corners are absolutelly poor quality, at f5.6 is getting a bit better... Sigma is much sharper and brighter (f2.8) but lacks OSS so not the best lens to shoot under conditions other than sunny day outside... Maybe if someone takes photos with tripod only... Kind regards!

I feel as if, as time went on - oss (for me at least) is less and less needed unless I am shooting like 200mm+

tamron 17 70, it has VC, i wont buy it.. im getting the 18 to 300 cause i wanna see what my fav focal lengths are and need bird shots, and it has VXD and vc isntead rxd

That sounds like a solid plan to figure out your favorite focal lengths and capture those perfect bird shots!
