Noita for people who can't beat noita

My favourite spells combination is probably orbiting boomerang blades. It helps if you have the perk that lets you use your wands further away from yourself

I have been playing the game since the first demo. While it's not the hardest roguelite out there, it did bring me hundreds of hours of joy breaking it in so many different ways.

Saying Magicraft is the ultimate spell-crafting roguelike when Noita existst, is like saying checkers is the best square-grid based game when chess exists. It's like comparing a ½ hour looking at tiktok videos to watching cinematic movie masterpiece. It's just not even close, and honestly the magicraft devs should be a bit ashamed to have their name attached to a statement like this as a sponsor trying to push that narrative, because they know full well their game can't compete. Don't get me wrong. Magicraft is fun. I currently have 222 hours in the game and I feel like I got my money worth's of entertainment value. But Noita is just on an entirely different level. It's sooooo much deeper. Noita has a much, MUCH more fleshed out spell-system, with many more synergies and small interesting details to be discovered. Magicraft has adopted the same wand/slot mechanic from Noita and does some fun thigs with it. But the depth with regards to complexity is no where near the same standard. Noita actually has a deep and interesting lore has a much bigger world which you can navigate freely and keeps on challenging you. Magicraft has a horribly bad and completely irrelevant story that reads like its written by a 12 year old, and it mainly concerns itself with an obnoxious obsession on tentacle girls. Noita is well known for remaining challenging even once you have unlocked all the spells and even though you are experienced with the game. Magicraft is fun, for a bit. But it's never really challenging. And very quickly you just start manhandling the game, because it just not difficult enough. And once you get there, there really isn't anything keeping the game entertaining or giving it replayability. Noita still has secrets, which no one has been able to solve, despite years of the entire community attempting to do so. And despite being datamined for the same reasons. And talking about community. Noita has one of the most solid, tight-nit and engaged fanbases among any roguelikes. You can always find detailed answers if you need them, for example with regards to how spells affect one another other and the like. Magicraft is new, so thats a big ask at this point, but currently there is nothing but a fandom page offering the exact same descriptions as the spells also offer in game. No added info. Nothing. The official discord mainly consists of people requesting added content or bug reports. And any search for slightly more in depth of functionality often lead to videos like this one, from affordable content creators with no integrity willing to say anything for the right price. Like I said. I got 222 hours out of Magicraft and, in its current state, I guess I might throw another day or two at it. But at that point, I will have bleed it dry of anything more to do. So there is a fun time to be had for sure. But then I have 4187.3 hours in Noita. And I'm not close to done with it. And I don't mean I haven't beat the game. I mean it keeps offering so much entertainment value to keep me engaged, that I can just flat-out say that I already know I still have many hours of fun ahead of me with that title. I am talking about things to achieve within the game (not talking steam achievements here). Things I want to try out. Builds to attempt. Magicraft is clearly influenced by Noita and thats a good thing. But just because I listen to Queen, it does not mean I sing like Freddie Mercury. So lets calm down a bit with announcing it to be the second comming of christ with regards to spell based rogue like games. Lets see the game still have a somewhat active player base in a month or two. Unless they are ready to dump some serious updates with regards to challenge, content, endless mode or similar and further options to keep players engage past destroying NM3 every run and having unlocked everything, I highly doubt it.

Looks pretty fun, I'm so bad at bullet hells tho (31 years old (cope))

The bullet hell difficulty is fairly low IMO. It's far more focused on building up your spell combos.

It looks like multiplayer could fit well into it with the artstyle and gameplay and all. I hope multiplayer gets added, whether couch or online.
