yes you will want to use max rank flametongue on one weapon and then a 1 rank below on the other. This is because they have different internal CDs with procs!

to be more specific, you want rank 9 on your mainhand and rank 10 on your offhand. this is because lava lash is affected by your flametongue and it hits with offhand.

Wait, you said the rotation started with totems and cooldowns... including Feral Spirit. Your base talents showed you not taking Feral Spirit so how can you use it as a cooldown?

yeah sorry for the confusion on the talents there! I had meant to finish them out to what they would look at level 80. You eventually get Maelstrom and then Feral Spirit from the extra points leveling. Honestly I would grab everything up to wolves first pre 70 and then get the elemental fire totem stuff from 70 to 80. We called it "fireknives" back in original wrath. it's why all caster weapons are mainhand only now.

Double Flame tongue is better than WF FT because the spelI power stacks. And you will see on your meters flametongue attacks will be your highest dps. play on warmane and have for a long time. Also slow weapons are key. 2.5 or 2.6 spd.

Yep absolutely! Double Flametongue is the way to go for this, which is why I stated my preference here is just windfury mainhand because I just find it a bit more fun personally. However Double Flametongue weapon here is super strong!

i may be missing something here but when you were talking about using cooldowns at the start of the fight you say use feral spirits but when you showed the talents to use you didnt go far enough into enhance to get feral spirits?

I made some videos on the subject of Spell Hanse as I have been looking into it for PvP. Some people suggested I look into Frost Brand wep Chant... its ratio's proc chance... blah blah blah. Some interesting things there of note. 1. I don't think it has and internal CD so it can do wind swings in DPS much like Wind Fury but spell power version. This has some application for pvp when you find yourself in a sustained fight where you raw dps average isn't cutting it Frost Brand can be a source of spike damage. 2. Frost Brand Crits proc Flurry unlike Flame Tongue. 3. I didn't bother getting its spell power ratio or proc rate sense it is clearly inferior to Flametougne but it was THAT bad suggesting the two chants are rather close in performance.

A little love from us Warmane guys that's been running this for years. Get Spellhit capped first! Nothing else!!!! 17% if ur Horde and no buffs. 14% if u have boomie, 13% if you have draenai and boomie. Sorry Horde. After you get 14% HIT, then get 26 Expertise. When you get these 2... you can back off on stacking SP. This is when you start stackin Haste. LAVA LASH- SUCKS ASS IN DMG. BUT USE IT WHEN YOU POP SHAM RAGE, OR NEED 1 QUICK MAELSTROM TO HIT 5. other than that useless. But use on CD when u pop sham rage.

Stormstrike and lava lash gives you roughly 6-7k Mana back if used right after popping sham rage. Don't use fire nova during Sham Rage. Also in 5 man's. Use mana shield! Your gonna be oom damn near the whole Dungeon. Also, healing totem in raids only. If ur alone or in 5 man. MANA TIDE

Spellhance should be number 1 or 2 on meters in everything from here till ICC. But you have to know what your doing, have rotation and mana management down pat. Carry mana pots like candy!

i am gonna go on a limb and say that higher weap dps is ognna be prefferred. thats a baseline for all you rmelees and your ap even feeds into your spell dmg converrsion so id go for the bigger dmg

If you have at least 1 charge of Maelstrom and you cast a spell it WILL NOT cause you to lose Melee swing time. Weather it clips or not I do not know. Blizzard Classic servers have this "anit-clip" mechanic where if you missed an auto that should have gone out because you cast a spell (you see this all the time with Paladin for example) it just double slaps the next time it can slap. An example would be... you get in melee range... game registers a melee hit should be done... game starts melee animation which it needs to complete for about .5s with two handers before it registers the actually damage (not the hit the damage)... if you get get hard CC'ed before this animation is complete, the next time you smack them its a x2 hit. You see this all the time with paladin because you are an auto attack Andy in Classic and TBC a lot and people LOVE to CC right before you attack them. You can get Death Coiled, into chain fear for 30s + and once you make contact with lock again you get a double white hit. When I was testing Maelstrom with a two hander I noticed the double hit / animation interrupt thing in effect still from Classic. If you go to swing but halt the animation .2 after with a heal, cast, whatever... you will see a x2 hit be your next hit if you wait / cast long enough.

@@nickjohnson1944 Maelstrom has a proc chance per swing. The chance is adjusted and scaled to weapon speed. So for example a 1second weapon swing might have a 30% chance to proc MW, while a 3second weapon swing might have 90%. (numbers made up for example).

Hey dude great video, I have a question, wotlk classic will be released in its version 3.3.5 will this build spellhance still be viable because it is the version of the icc patch and you said that it was no more viable from t10. And I have the impression that the stat spell hit score and melee hit score were merged. So is it still viable ?

Yes this is correct! This build came about prior to patch 3.3.5 which classic will be starting on out the gate. This build was very strong back before the patch but I do think it will still be very strong during 3.3.5. (though to a lesser extent) I would say viable, yes. However before you would run EVERYTHING off piece spell power. I think in it's current form you just run the select few off piece spell power gear that just has better itemization over the attack power ones if that makes sense.

You van play old school enhance if you want, you will still do fine. But spellhance that is setup correctly, it's more forgiving with gear. And you will be number 1 dps

If you are going to suggest weaving lb and cl at 3-4 maelstrom stacks you might need to mention weapon syncing/swing timers so you don't clip your auto attacks and lose damage overall

Check the patch notes, in burning crusade in the first couple of patches boe spell damage items were one handed, shamans would stack two spell damage items and burst out people in arena and people were saying it was an glitch. I am talking about original burning crusade, not classic of it.

Sorry bud. I played shaman back in original wrath and when raiding Nax we were aware of spellhance. Whether or not it was fleshed out further on private servers, it was not anything new. I'd say you should do some fact checking.

Hey Ziggy, I appreciate your input. Back in Original Wrath it was always thought of as an off meta wacky build with not a ton of testing & data to back it up (as much as we have now). Back in Original Wrath things became a bit more streamlined in terms of class design & how to play each spec, so it became fairly common to just run your enhance spec as you usually would. You might have a few people try to "homebrew" a spec and mess around with a spellhance like build. But It is well known that spellhance became a much more popular & commonly known strategy when Wrath of the Lich King was revisited on private servers & people had more time/knowledge to test other avenues of playing the spec. These aren't the fist folks to ever try & create the idea of a spellhance shaman, no. They were merely instrumental in putting it on the map as a well tested method of playing enhance Shaman in a different way.
