The Gospel, which means the Good News is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. John 1:1,14 KJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. [14] And THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us, 1 John 3:8 KJV He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Isaiah 9:6 KJV For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty GOD, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and THE WORLD KNEW HIM NOT. John 3:18 KJV He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

This Costume is Classic! Much better than that sorry excuse for a Costume James Gunn is gonna pull over us next year! I prefer Brandon's Routs costumes from Bryan singers rendition or even go back to the 1950s with George Reeves costumes. Anything better than that BullCrap Gunns' is pulling!!

This costume is the benchmark of superhero costumes . They really knew what they were doing in the 70's.
@EliasAlucard
@EliasAlucard Ай бұрын
Yeah, even though it looks quite simple and basic compared to modern superhero suits, it's still the best superhero suit by far. Not only the suit, Christopher Reeve himself set the benchmark standard for Superman and he still hasn't been surpassed by Routh, Cavill and Corenswet sure as hell won't surpass Reeve either. I'm sure Corenswet will do a good job acting-wise, and he even has the same height as Reeve, and even studied in the same school (Julliard), but Reeve is still the number one Superman, and that won't change. That said, it amazes me that they still can't outdo this classic suit. Sure, it's difficult, perhaps even impossible to replace Christopher Reeve as Superman, but the suit should be a no brainer, yet they just can't do it. The Brandon Routh suit was a complete joke, like really ugly, bad taste stuff, and the Henry Cavill suit looked futuristic and yes even alien technology, but esthetically it just sucked compared to the Reeve suit, and judging by the recent first picture of the Corenswet suit, it's still light years (pun intended) from the Reeve suit. You'd think that since they're 3D printing the suits nowadays, surely they can get a skilled artist who can design an awesome Superman suit, but they're just not willing to do it, or incapable. I mean just take the Christopher Reeve suit from the 1978 film and design it just like that (same blue color too, as the turquoise blue looks a bit off, and the dark blue and brownish red are also off; Superman is the hero of light, not Batman with superpowers) but with some modern 3D printed texture, and it would look awesome, but no, they're more interested in weird S emblems and too long or too short cape, no red underpants or small brown underpants and so on. The Reeve suit was pretty much perfect, like just take the cape as a case in point, how majestic it looked while hanging beautifully on his shoulders, whereas both Routh and Cavill cloaks were just a piece of cloth that hanged on the back, because they wanted to show off their delts. The S emblem on the Reeve suit is perfectly sized, not too small or too big, it's placed perfectly in the middle as opposed to too far up as it was in the Cavill suit, or too small in the Routh suit, and the S characters in the Reeve suit is perfectly designed; I never connected it as a kid, that it was an S, I just thought it was some cool alien signs. That said, it's amazing how well Reeve filled it, I mean it just it just doesn't look as good on this cosplay guy, boots are too big and his shoulders aren't as wide. Like you said, they knew what they were doing in the 70s, and obviously they're clueless today.

@@EliasAlucard Jesus. I have never seen someone so closed off to other incarnations of Superman, not even giving other actors a chance to be better than Reeve. He is simply the best and that's it. Sad as fuck.
@EliasAlucard
@EliasAlucard Ай бұрын
@@actualsimp8308 I'm not closed off. If it were up to me, we'd have far better Supermen than Christopher Reeve, but it's just not happening, for multiple reasons. For one thing, none of them have so far pulled off the acting part. Reeve was a trained method actor at Julliard (same as Corenswet, so he's going to do a great job with the acting, no doubt). Reeve is also the tallest Superman so far, at 193 cm (same as Corenswet, which is probably why he got the role; Julliard + 193 cm). Reeve is also, by far, the best looking Superman. This one is of course a bit subjective, but really, none of the other Supermen have been anywhere close to Reeve's stunning good looks, and I say that as no homo. Take Brandon Routh as a case in point: being brown eyed, they gave him cheap, fake looking blue contact lenses, when they could have just redone his eye color with CGI so that at least it looked natural, but I guess that would be too high budget (and Routh was pretty much a mute throughout the film, so no acting chops either). Henry Cavill as another case in point was balding already when he auditioned for Superman, and it got worse every time he donned the cape, but unlike when he played The Witcher, he didn't bother covering it up with fake hair so that he at the very least looked better as supes--no, he sported his receding hairline proudly (as a side note, Christopher Reeve didn't suffer from androgenic alopecia, but he did have alopecia areata, and you know what? He put on a wig in Superman III; Reeve took the role seriously). Aside from that, Cavill has minor heterochromia and a broken nasal bone or something, and he's only 185 cm, whereas Ben Affleck was 10 cm taller than him; Superman, being super, is supposed to be larger than life. Now I could go on and on, but there will probably never be a better Superman than Christopher Reeve, not because it's impossible to replace or outdo him (it's really not that difficult, it can be done, but the director has to have good judgment when picking the actor), but because the directors and producers don't pay attention to details, suffer from bad taste (which is the norm nowadays, as quality isn't top priority like it was in the late 70s and throughout the 80s), and while I believe Corenswet is going to do an excellent job, being under a competent director like James Gunn and the fact that he actually can act, there are multiple reasons why he's going to be light years from Reeve's portrayal as the Man of Steel: 1 Corenswet just isn't as good looking. Corenswet just isn't anywhere close to being as photogenic as Christopher Reeve was. Now Corenswet is a great actor (probably better than Reeve), but Superman is a character that must be pulled off by a photogenic actor; Brad Pitt and Leonardo Dicaprio wouldn't be taken seriously as Superman--they simply don't look the part, aren't tall enough and so on. I mean, rhetorical question, but can you imagine Al Pacino or Robert De Niro playing Superman? Looks matter, especially for Superman. Corenswet isn't photogenic enough for Superman; he has protruding ears and his facial traits are a bit off 2) The Corenswet suit, based on this first picture, just doesn't cut it. It looks too much like a Guardians of the Galaxy suit than a traditional, classic Superman suit. Really, what Gunn should've done is just take the Reeve suit, and give it modern 3D printed texture, so that it looks cool and high budget enough. Otherwise the Reeve suit was pretty much perfect, because back then, they took esthetics seriously. 3) The soundtrack for Gunn/Corenswet will unlikely be better than John Williams' brilliant score. Williams is probably too old now to outdo himself with a new Superman leitmotif, and probably only Alan Silvestri could do a good enough job right now, but it's very difficult to outdo John Williams' classic Wagnerian Superman theme. 4) Details matter, and with Christopher Reeve, all the important details coalesced into the best Superman so far, and while it's not impossible to pick a better Superman actor and make a better Superman film than the 1978 film, it's unlikely to happen. There's a good reason why Christopher Reeve is so celebrated as Superman by most Superman fans. In 50+ years, no one will talk about Cavill and Routh, just like no one today talks about George Reeves and Kirk Alyn, but people today still talk about Christopher Reeve. The fact that Donner went with an unknown, was the right move: the perfect Superman is unlikely to be found among the current Hollywood pool, as that's a too narrow selection pool, but an unknown doesn't mean it's always a homerun either, as Brandon Routh's lackluster performance can attest. So, personally, I believe that the Corenswet film will be good, but it could have been so much better if Gunn wasn't trying to reinvent the wheel with the suit; if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Christopher Reeve's physique was so impressive for the time. the low collar really complimented his thick neck and traps. Making a skin tight superhero costume look cool in that era was no easy task (lets not pretend like Adam West looked cool as Batman) but people took Reeve seriously. He just had a presence as this character that in my opinion hasn't been topped yet. Fantastic work showcasing this suit Chris, you really do it justice.

Well to be honest, and fair, Adam West's Batman was a TV series for kids, and it was 12 years prior in 1966. They had a low budget, not comparable to a movie budget, so of course his Batman suit looked cheesy and like a half assed effort that you could make yourself. I think that if they had made Batman in the late 70s like Superman, the suit would have been Darker and maybe more developed with, muscles and maybe a different actor than West who would have spent more time bodybuilding in the gym like Reeve did. But all we have to compare Reeves Movie Superman to is Michael Keatons Movie Batman Suit 11 years after Superman 1, in 1989.

Chris, awesome video. I'm old enough that I saw Superman The Movie in a local(non-chain)movie theater. It's a theater that's been around since the early/mid 1900's. It was once a vaudeville theater, then became a movie theater. My Dad saw movies there when he was a kid. But anywho, we went as a family to see Superman The Movie. Seeing the opening credits and the text flying at you... to my young eyes was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. I sat completely mesmerized for the entire movie. I laugh, I oohed & aahed, I cried, and I cheered. I left the theater feeling so pumped and walking on air. And yes, I believed a man could fly.

I wish a movie or tv production would basically use the engineering on this suit as a base line and advance it. Also one thing I think gets forgotten is at least in the first film they were really strategic about how this suit was shot for camera. Insuring you never saw any flaws or bunching up.

Nicely done. The suit looks amazing. Loved how you mixed a little of the older and a little of the newer in your end video. I think Christopher Reeve would approve.

A great breakdown of the suit Chris!! Fits you like a glove and truly does look great!! It’s such an adventure dressing it on the mannequin right???! The Action Costumes suit I have looks so good in person but I admit to thinking about picking this suit up too. The mannequin I have mine on weighs SO much. I can barely lift the arms and legs LOL. The ending of the video was stunning. Loved how well the cape was picking up with the wind. Thanks for sharing buddy

Something that seems forgotten by Warner Bros. and The DCCU is that Superman's suit should be fitting enough that it can be worn comfortably underneath civilian clothing. That in a moment's notice...BAM! Superman! Granted, super speed aside, it's a known attribute to the costume and the convenience therein. Why the suits "needs" to have these intricate patterns and thick shield on the chest is beyond me. He's Superman! Why would he need ANY tough or thickened material such as we've seen? It doesn't make sense and is all the more reason why such a suit as we see in the video makes perfect sense.

I never really cared for this costume since it always looked so basic to me but now after seeing the breakdown there’s a lot more respect for it and actually changes my view of it. Well done mate

this looks much better than terrible James Gunn Superman costume. Its a relatively easy costume to get right, keep it simple and with bright primary colours.

This is quite a simple suit yet at the same time downright iconic. One thing that makes this suit unique is that that the few people that wear it actually looks cool. You really have to match the height, the physique and pretty much not rely on a muscle suit, pretty much to match the look of an Alex Ross drawing where the suit aren't exactly bodyarmors. By the way Chris, this suit fits you nicely. I would love to see you try the "Batman Dead End" suit, which is pretty much very similar to the "Reeve" suit in terms of the look of a classic superhero costume.
