Or, hear me out, on-body carry. There's no reason to not have AT LEAST one way to cut things, one way to make fire, some cordage to tie things, comms and land nav tools, a way to plug, patch or occlude holes in meat-suits any time one is also clothed; and, rarely is there a reason to not have a long distance way to make holes and spicy sauce dispenser to avoid needing the thing which goes 'bang' to come into play.

Basic winter/cold weather driving dictates having something like moving blankets or woobies in the vehicle along with a container with basic survival items like food, water, matches, and a candle.

Nice tip, but why do you push the lint back and forth for no discernible reason ? I was watching to see what you were trying to achieve, to the point where you had distracted my attention away from your dialogue. No offence ment, just an observation.
