Thanks for watching! Apologies if you hear the smoke detector, tried to mute it as best I could, I'll try to take care of it next time.
This show is a Godsend honestly.

Who would have thought watching a hero work at a farm could be way more engaging than watching him chop up vikings??

imo the first half was more engaging, but the second half was more life changing and thematic if you know what I mean

Great analysis. You captured everything that makes this story so special to me and many others. I know it’s corny, but Vinland Saga really did have a huge impact on me and changed my perspective forever. Completely agree that it’s one of the most important pieces of media out there. One of the few anime/manga that transcends the genre.

I’m the same way. I’ve never had a media piece had as much of an impact on me and my self reflection as season 2. It also translates so well to how we as a species need to come together. It’s beautiful. And sad. But hopeful

It's not corny. It's what good storytelling does to people. It changes them, molds them in an unexplicable way. And when stories manage to do that, they become Art.

Vinland changed my life. Now i love so much, hate so little, forgive all people and i see everyone around me like infinite beings. I started to see beauty in the world and the people, that make me see beauty in me and the fact that i see my self beauty after so much void makes me cry. Vinland makes me cry of beauty and is incredible. Sorry for my english, hope you a good day and life

i used to hate how many fans are backing the vikings for raiding villages and do all sorts of evil towards the villagers.. but then i kept reading the manga until Thorfinn changed.. and realized that this is really a masterpiece. It just takes its time to show the development. If only everyone thinks like how this new Thorfinn think, then there'll be peace, maybe..

Those fans mainly look at shonen /action types of shows. Vinland Saga is a series that shows the cruelty of violence, war and killing and shows how people can change over time (Thorfinn and Hild especially). Those who begin to understand what Vinland Saga is meant to show are the ones that are willing and able to change. I really wish more people can feel the same way.

Absolutely agree with all waht you said. Now im in the worst moment of my entire life and in all this months i felt like i was falling in a deep hole without any escape. But thanks to vinland i found the feeling and my purpose to fight against my personal situation and specially against my depression.

It's not easy to be a better person. It's even harder to rise above the world around us always trying its best to drag us back down. I was a miserable bastard for a long time. In a lot of ways I still am. Still got all that hate and anger in me. I hurt a lot of people, treated them like trash, and now they're gone and I can't make that right. I was abused as a kid so I saw an enemy in everyone. I always felt the need to lash out and get one over on everyone around me so I can feel superior. If I just broke other people down and clowned on them they couldn't do it to me first. Like a beaten dog just biting at the air because that's all it knows how to do. Barking at everyone and everything that came close. Thankfully I did grow up and I do try. I try because I just got tired man. How pathetic to live a life where you always think the world is out to get you and the only way to get validation is to get back at the world. It's exhausting. If the only way you can feel good is to shit on other people then that's just a sad existence. There's no value in that. Always feeling like you ain't good enough unless you step on someone else's head. I looked at myself and thought man wtf are you doing? You gonna die like this one day and have only 10 people at your funeral or kill someone in a tantrum of rage and go to prison or get shot? It became more silly to me the more I thought about it so I made the decision to stop. Had to look inside my soul and finally find some true inner value and most of all learned to love myself. It doesn't mean I'm exalted or got it all figured out it just means I'm trying. Stories like Vinland Saga really resonate with me because it's just a story of a man who tries. Tries to do better, tries to rise above, tries to grow and find some true happiness. That's what I want to do. Not some miserable ass boy always looking for negative attention but a man who puts some good in himself and in the people who love him. If anyone is in that place right now believe me you can be more than that. It's hard but I believe in you.

Amazing video man 🙏🏼 Vinland saga truly changed my prospective in life. We all aspire to be like Thorfinn because of how strong he is mentally for fighting his demons head on & willingly chooses to be a better person despite his past or how the world treats him. May God bless you & whoever is reading this 🫂 I hope y’all achieve whatever you desire in life.

2:49 this is an excellent point, I’ve been in a dark place for so long that is strange when things do actually go well, and I end up sabotaging it, because I’m “comfortable” being miserable. Not because I like it, but because it’s all I know now.

Don,t know why people hate this masterpiece yes season 1 had more fights but 0 character development but in s2 we watch thorffin become mature and learn about life. The first episode had me hooked and i couldn't leave this masterpiece. Tbh watching thorffin grow from an angry and arrogant brat to a man who made peace with his past and realized his mistakes really amazes me. Can,t wait for season 3.

Season 1 didn't have no character development, just none for Thorfinn. Askeladd and Canute both have a fair amount of it in S1. Thorfinn's stagnant character is a bit unfortunate, but necessary to make his depression in S2 hit even harder.

I´ve been very close to the darkest places of depression, selfloathing and all the shit you go through before realizing you are in a very bad spot. We can agree that thorfinn is a gift to our lifes, and I since then I try to do as he would and always to be calm and never give myself to anger. Thank you for this. We fell the same about this beautiful story.

I hope some of you mf's actually live by these principles instead of just preaching how good they are and how everyone should live by them. That aside, season 2 revitalized this pacifist way of thinking i used to have years ago. Almost makes me wanna look into Christianity too. But you dont need religion to be a good person, just a good will and a good heart.
