Great thankyou. So let me get this right...with this you can set a time to start (3am for eg), set it to record the movement of stars, set the record duration and interval then it compiles it all for you in body and gives you a nice tidy video ready to download or share?

Why is your settings for wide , narrow and linear on your right hand side and why don't I get taken to the lens , format and interval settings when I touch my screen like you did ? It's kinda hard to follow when I do the same as you and get different things on screen

Question: Does the GoPro 10 have the capability to shoot faster than every five seconds a raw in still time lapse mode? I liked the 1/2 second capture in JPEG, (with GoPro 9), but would like 1 second save in RAW. Thank you for any advice, your video helped me here!

I am looking for a camera to do the same thing. It's a 17 week project and I wanted to see if it would be possible with the GoPro but connected to external power. We have a Brinno camera but the footage is quite low quality.
@beebystudios3 жыл бұрын
@@russellescritt I've found a great company in the UK that does this a lot with Go Pros. They have made weather proof housing for the go pro and an always on battery hooked up to a solar panel.. check them out. They're called Alto Focus.
@russellescritt3 жыл бұрын
@@beebystudios I'm giving them a call. I've just had a look and this could be a great solution thank you. This would allow us to make proper use of the GoPro.

@russellescritt3 жыл бұрын
@@facundomartinsuarez2177 Hi. I spoke to a guy at Alto Focus (thanks to Stuart). They do housings for the camera and a large battery as well. They also supply solar panels as well. I've put this forward to my boss to see if he's happy to go for it.

Thank you for your clear and precise videos. It seems very sloppy to connect a powerbank to a Gopro with the cable protruding. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

so for Photo output - you cannot choose the resolution, this is really stupid. what resolution will it shoot the pics???

Any suggestions or tweaks regarding a time lapse of a construction of a community house in Stockholm, Sweden (Nordic sun, light and sky differs from, let’s say the same project at the equator) during the course of now (well, a day from now) through end of May? I want to end up with about a minute video, so I’m thinking a picture every 5 minute would suffice. But the rest of the settings? Thoughts or ideas? Will it all fit in a 512 GB card using raw format, since you get a jpg as well?

Movement of plants is great at 5 minute intervals over a few days. Using close up +10 lense helps with macro shots.. not sure if able to use with GoPro9 but on the 8 you can use a 52mm - 55mm ring adapter to add extra lenses like UV or Polarizing lense as well as other lenses if using a cage like a smallrig.. I really like the 55mm lense cover that snaps on and off.. I don't use cage for action shots though, too heavy for the mount on the bike.. too much excess noise as well.. and extra wind.. what speed good for coastlines? in the seconds unless elapsing the tides?

In the settings there is a section on what the Quick capture does. You need to change this and take it off timelapse.

I only get the time warp option - it’s driving me insane not to have the night lapse or time lapse options. The manual does not help AT ALL. I think I have a super lens that needs turning off but have no idea how.

Would have been nice to actually do a test run so we can see if we are doing it right. Like what do the two time indicators mean? Why is the one on the left not moving? If the interval is every ten seconds, nothing indicates it is taking a shot.
