For around the first 5 minutes I was confused if this thing was a laptop or a keyboard, especially after you popped that m.2 drive in. I'm like wtf is this thing 🤣

I love this thin, I have the original branded Kwumsy K3 and it's awesome. I use it in combination with a mini PC running a Linux OS as a modern electronic typewriter for distraction, free writing.

Great review. I have a Kwumsy version, but so far I like it a lot, especially for leveling for music production. I intend to change out keycaps very soon to something that shines through better. Lastly, for desktop users, I found that the screen will find a signal only if the red USB-A cable connects to a USB port that's also red. Otherwise, that red USB-A adapter would need to be connected to a plug with PD power.

so... ive googled the $h!t out of this with seemingly no one else making the connection but it seems as though there's one manufacturer thats letting four other companies sell virtually the exact same product(s) using the exactvsame name. They are as follows: the Ficihp K2, Smiseacow K2, the Kwumsy K2 & K3, and then theres the Maxfree K3. Can anyone explain this? i mean, they ALL.. are the EXACT same products WITH the exact same model names.

Great video, wondering if this supports linux usage.

I'd use one of these as a daily driver if it ran Windows. It kinda reminds me of the old Toshiba T3200 portables from the 90s. 🍪

@@LunaFrog- Fair enough. I'd be using it mostly for writing or letting it show movies etc.. and not gaming.

Wonder if its the Kwumsy company calling themselves Maxrfree. Though, the one thing I've not seen anyone do with this and is the reason I'm interested is, who needs an elgato Streamdeck when you can just get this guy, have countless buttons, use the OPENSTREAM DECK software and get the same results. And as others have done, they've put the AfterEffects control panel on the touch screen a la the dual screen Asus laptops. So... I'm intrigued, now to decide who I go with, since both are clearly the exact same product, with a different name on them.

whats the data rate on the built in usb hub? if you got enough room on your desk it seems like a proper option if the speeds are on point with other usb hub options. and as for the keyboard, for being stock the sound aint damn bad at all. i've seen higher price customs sound way worse than this one.

This thing was given to me... I'm typing on it now... struggling to figure out its purpose or a useful scenario.... if you already have multi monitor setup... this is pretty pointless, but portability... idk its not really portable either.... its heavy also... about the same as my 18inch strix... definitely thicker.... but... it is good for conversation.... everyone who has seen it so far is pretty much just confused.... maybey if i can find some control software or cad shortcut software yea... lack of 10 key means what now? Gotta get a 10 key
