Hopefully they'll take this time to make Yasuke a scout and not a playable character. We don't need him a girl with a mom Shinobi and a dad samurai trained by both growing up can fix the mess made otherwise it's gonna be a disaster. At no point did anyone say I want a samurai that can't fight like a ninja when we've always wanted an ac ninja that could fight both ways. As a long time fan I'm absolutely disappointed and I loved most of the games except two. Let's be real deep down they know what they need to do! It's will they scrap so much of the game to fix it and I for one don't want NPCs dumb enough not to run when smokes thrown. I thought they were going to be on point for this game, fix everything and make it right but I was wrong so far and this will be the end for Ubisoft when they mess it up.

Years and years??? last I checked, Mirage, Valhalla, and Odyssey sold incredibly well. that was 2023, 2020 and 2018 respectively. 2024 was catastrophic tho. skull and bones, star wars outlaws. ouch.

@ fair enough. I guess to me the issue would simply be that they are just the assassins creed company now. They used to have a relatively diverse portfolio of high-selling IP between splinter cell, the division, far cry and even Just Dance (whose most recent iteration also underperformed) I think shareholders would be right to panic at this companies longevity based off their fumbling in one way or another with many of those titles

I wholeheartedly agree. The last thing we need is another AC Unity screw up. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy the game now but when it was first released it was a damn near unplayable Trainwreck! So if that means we have to wait a couple of extra months to get a better product than so be it. After Skull and Bones falling on its face and the buggy launch of Star Wars Outlaws, Ubisoft really needs this game to go well.

I'd have played it. If they had two japanse MC's. The historical stuff is shitty of Ubi as well. But let's be honest, shoehorning Yasuke into the game has turned off more ppl. Also to clarify I wanted a Japanese AC game with 1 or two Japanese protagonists. Sure one is Japanase but I'd have loved the ability to see how differently a japanse samurai plays from a Japanese shinobi. Playing as a 6ft 2 black guy (regardless of the historical debate) doesnt scream Japanse to me. That's just me.

I do very much appreciate the based content you're creating & sharing on your channel, Andy! As an all time Assassin's Creed fan having played & enjoyed every single one i have to admit, that i'll be more than careful when it comes to the new entry. Introducing us to my most beloved setting and looking absolutely great today there is just something about it, imagine they released it in november of 2024, it would have been an absolute s**tshow, again, and that's just something i won't accept anymore when it comes to my favorite gaming series. I'm just hoping I won't have to deal with game breaking glitches like I did in AC Unity. I climbed a tower and became stuck inside the peak of the tower and the game saved inside it. Then later after I restarted my whole game over that issue...I jumped from a tower and fell through the map forever and ofc it saved again and cost me yet another play through. I also hope the Animus program won't be a space hog in my system.

I have been looking forward to this for a while. I was one of those that originally pre-ordered the game (mainly to also get the DLC expansions/season pass and so it automatically downloads without me remembering). Still waiting for it to come back to pre-order. I was hoping for Shadows to do well and release, so we can get some updates on Hexe. Weirdly, up until Outlaws I never really had any major issues with Ubi games and bugs.

to be honest, I really wish the collectors edition of assassin‘s Creed shadows was available in the store, even if the game is not out I still wish that because I would love to go by the collectors edition. I already bought the replica of the hidden blade on my birthday last year and still, it hasn’t come out yet. I’m still patiently waiting for it so bad even though it’s a left hand hidden blade. My genuine hopes for AC Shadows is to know who the current future protagonist is and I did not like Layla. I hope they hugely improve the modern day storyline tie in and somehow connect it to the Desmond family tree, or even connect it to the Templars.

To be fair 30% is high. I understand 10-15% but 30% is kinda ridiculous. You have to remember steam isn't the only market place. Not Ubisoft related but even game engines have their percentage takes as well. Like UE. Just imagine the amount of money shoved out for something like an indie game with all this.

AC Shadows is slowly turning to be more promising. AC has always been my favourite game series and I hope they could bring the series back to its golden era. I just hoped that Ubisoft could get rid of that ridiculous launcher requirement and let people enjoy the game wherever the choose to. Ubisoft Quebec is known for putting out highly polished games so I’m hoping this one is.

I'm interested in AC Shadows for a few reasons. First of all, the game is being developed by Ubisoft Quebec, which previously published AC Odyssey (one of my favorite AC games). Secondly, the Sengoku period is one of the most interesting in Japanese history. Thirdly, Assassin's Creed: Shadows allows us to play as two characters, between whom we can freely switch, which creates a lot of opportunities for cool interactions. Another, fourth reason is of course the seasons (spring, summer, autumn and winter occur as a result of story events, and they affect not only the appearance of the world, but also the gameplay). And the last element that caught my attention is parkour - the heroes of AC Shadows can climb on elements of the environment and overcome obstacles in a skillful, parkour way, as well as crawl on the ground - Naoe has more freedom of movement than Yasuke, and in addition, she has a rope with a grappling hook, which she uses to swing over precipices or climb. That's why he's very excited about the game's release and Andy, it's great that you're back :)

I'd say I'm generally more excited about this game after watching your video. I've mostly been avoiding info on shadows as there has been a lot of controversy and flak. I do look forward to playing the game and this new setting. Not as unique as it use to be with more games being set in Japan. Hopefully the delays are a good thing and don't end up being buggy like SnB and Valhalla
