I’ve had Hutchison dual bead locks on my daily driver for close to two years. Don’t rock crawl too much, mainly sand dunes. Hold air great, check torque every 3 months they’ve never had a nut come lose. They they are DOT compliant for street legal. 🤙🏽

Awesome defiantly will be checking out the valves. Ive always just pulled my valve stems out to air down quicker. Learned a lesson airing down at uwharrie and lost a valve stem so had to buy one before I could even hit the trails then air back up. Now I have 5 spares in glove box.

I just bought a set of 5 for my Wrangler. With a family of 4 it’s a great idea not having to wait 10 minutes to air down before hitting the trail. Would really save us time we would rather spend having fun on the trail/camping. If I like them I will likely get another set of 4 for my Raptor. Thanks for the review and showing off this product!

@CaptainRudy40213 жыл бұрын
You should get icon rebound pro wheels. They're not beadlocks but they have bead retention screws. Basically, they have screws that sit on the inside of the bead of the tire to hold it against the bead seat of the wheel. Best part is that there's no maintenance needed unlike an actual beadlock. It's actually pretty genius if you ask me.
@michaellowe36654 жыл бұрын
What also works is a small pebble that fits in the valve stem cap. You just put it in the cap and screw it down until you hear the air coming out. You then take the rock out of the cap when you get to the right pressure and screw it back on. I dont know if you can get small pebbles on Amazon, but you can find the near most other rivers, creeks and roadsides.

Heres a tip place the valve stem inline with the hilift jack once the bead breaks just leave it where it ia or pumpmp it a couple more times to expose the inside of the valve stem that way your not struggling to hold the tire down away from the rim.

They are definitely fast but I can see you chasing tire pressures until you have some experience with them, timing. I run a set of 4 adjustable deflators with each one set to a different pressure, yes it takes me longer to air down but I'm not usually in a big hurry so I select the pressure I want to run and move the deflator from wheel to wheel. Wow...that was air was moving out pretty damn quick! I have Spyder beadlocks with a 3.5” backspace on my 98’ TJ and they afford a lot of protection to your valve stems from rocks and boulders and the design is great for pivoting your wheel around obstacles. They are a little heavy, but with an LS or Vortec swap it’s a mute point.

They performed as expected. I consider them a fail because you still have to stop and check them for the level of air on Each Tire. That's why I chose the J.T. Brooks deflators. Preset the device for the level you want, place all four on the tires and they all deflate and you do nothing but wait till they are finished. All four tires done at the same time.

Very impressive an absolutely amazing how fast they deflate. My two concerns would be one if I snapped the valve while off-roading I don’t believe I would be able to use my Colby emergency replacement valves. Which I have to say are amazing you don’t even have to take the wheel off if you snap a valve stem. Secondly what happens if you get mischievous kids like I was and they walk up to your vehicle and air down all four of your tires while you’re in the grocery store. Of course they didn’t have the stems when I was a kid so we used to have to take a couple of matchsticks jam them in and the air will go down and you could walk away. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen a car park where everyone comes out after Sunday services and you have all the men using foot pumps to pump up all the wheels it’s a good Sunday work out. Of course this is before everyone had compressors and stuff.
