I think the rason why Aria come for Caleb with vim was because she wanted to finally win at something. She had a terrible year; ended her engagement 24h later ( I can only imagine how Scotty reacted) , instead of ending the relationship there, they still move in together ( imagine how that went), she loses her Grandmother and has a miscarriage! Following all those terrible events, i think she realized that life was giving her all the signs to leave Scotty, but she wasn't listening and it took the tragedy of a miscarriage to finally be done with the relationship. So, i truly think she wanted to vent at someone and Caleb was an easy target. She wanted her feelings to be validated, something she couldn't get with Scotty. I do hope she sticks to her guns, and doesn't go back to Scotty, but to go find a man who treated her right like Caleb did.

does it really matter if he liked insta posts or followed or unfollowed her? he came clean and said he downplayed his feelings for her, but at the end of the day, he was leaving the experiment with Mariah no matter what. He never made it seem to Aria that he wanted more with her. He kept it PG the entire time. If he was flirting and kissing on her, telling her stuff, than yes I'm on Aria's side. But he never did that. He kept it respectful, and Aria herself admit that he always put Mariah first. So what's your point Aria? He wasn't supposed to do that? She was envious of Mariah and wanted a man like him and she caught true feelings for him, when him unfortunately didn't feel the same, at least not enough to leave Mariah.

Not that he wanted to sleep with her (or maybe so), but the clips Netflix showed of Caleb and Aria together looked open, honest, comfortable, and yes, "in love." I think Caleb is principled and therefore kept the brakes on his heart, but if you replay Caleb when Aria starts breaking down, he practically starts crying too. I wish he'd gotten up and given her a hug!!

I think that Caleb and Aria did have an emotional connection but emotional connection ≠ romantic connection and I feel like Aria was confusing the two. Honestly i feel like that actually speaks to Calebs character that he did have that connection but still CHOSE Mariah because love is more than just a feeling, it's a choice. I think its perfectly human that he probably watched her stories or whatever, as long as he wasnt leaving kissy faces or hearts on her photos or privately messaging her or something lol I dont think its as big of a deal as Aria was trying to make it.

I do think it was weird, but it feels like she might be trying to take her agency back. She's dating a whole narc (probably) and so she might over do it with other people when they downplay certain things with her. Caleb wasn't gaslighting her (that's an incorrect use of the word), but he was downplaying his feelings for her in order not to upset Mariah. That's what she was upset about. That said, the only thing that I side eyed her for was confronting Mariah at the women's night the way she did.

I think Vanessa and Dave’s perspectives were very important and sheds light on how unsafe conditions can be for cast. We don’t know what Nick said to Vanessa during that time but we can imagine as he was very unstable and he admitted on Viall Files to large amounts of alcohol and drugs. If I was put in a room with a man I don’t know who’s abusing substances and crashing out, I would absolutely leave and absolutely speak out about it. Emotional abuse can be just as harmful as physical. I don’t think he was necessarily aware of what he was doing because like you say I think he just clearly has his issues, but that’s kind of just as bad as it meant he couldn’t understand why his actions were harmful or why the girls were upset. I don’t think we saw any growth from him over the course of the show, and at the reunion he simply wasn’t challenged or held to account for his actions so we didn’t get the chance to see how he felt about that.

I’m sad that people cannot empathize with Aria more. She really liked Caleb, and their connection. I loved it and wished they would have left together. She was not trying to have him pick her, just being honest about what they shared. The poor girl is being gaslit over and over again by both Scottie and Caleb in his denial of their connection, on top of all the stuff she navigated, and the fact that no one cares why she is lashing out, is sad.

I think part of it is that she can’t accept that a man she got close to didn’t completely fall for her. Even Scotty’s comment about how there are no straight men who only want to be friends with her shows this. I believe she feels the same. And I relate to that - I can’t make a male friend for 💩 because they can’t be normal. I think she feels a sense of power in that and Caleb took it away. I think she feels so powerless.

There are usually a few people in these type of shows that think their new found “fame” is a good reason to leave the show without love. They want to play the field and see what they can get now that they are “famous “. I think JR is one of them. And separately, so is Sandy. I don’t buy the “I’m scared of marriage” from almost anyone. You are not scared to marry. You are scared to marry THAT person, if you are scared at all. One thing in general, when you date for a decade and don’t marry, it’s pretty unlikely that you will. You are long past that butterfly feeling and you’ve started to wonder what else is out there.
