What happens when you combine David Beckham's polygonal hair, a massive choice of team, and a non-licenses Ronaldo? Well you have FIFA 2000 for PC/Windows.

No.10 was most likely Michael Owen at his UEFA Ballon D’or peak before injuries ruined him. Also, Canada was a great team with Forrest, Bunbury and Radzinski. Gold Cup Champions in 2000 🏆
@YBM20074 ай бұрын
Owen, typical example of how English wonderkids used to get every bit of talent milked out of them from a young age so that their legs were knackered by the time they reached their 30s.

0:58 is Eddie Pope of DC United (yes, the same guy who committed the penalty at 19:32) on England: * David Seaman wouldn't grow out his hair until 2002, so he didn't yet have the ponytail * Gary Neville was the starter, Phil was the reserve; it's an easy way to tell them apart * Tony Adams * Graeme Le Saux played on Chelsea back then * Steve McManaman * maximum attribute points here is 7... things were dire in this 2000-2002 period for FIFA * Jamie Redknapp - Harry's actually his Dad xP * Teddy Sheringham (close) * Alan Shearer * Robbie Fowler

At least it has a good keyboard-only controls system. Something that is absent from modern FIFAs.

Fair
@AndyKusanagi8610 күн бұрын
for these old FIFAs on PC, the least you need on the keyboard are the arrows and WASD, really. with W you knock the ball ahead (essentially tap to sprint), A is long high ball, S is pass and D is shoot to goal. if you don't have possession, A becomes slide tackle, D is steal and S switches control to the player nearest to the ball.

as for Brazil, many of the players appeared only with their surnames, due to some image issues which weren't properly sorted out. for example, the goalkeeper, C. Neto, was actually Vasco da Gama's goalkeeper Carlos Germano (full name: Carlos Germano Schwambach Neto).

As opposed to American and Canadian football, where you only use your feet for punts, kickoffs, extra points, rouges, impromptu drop kicks, and of course field goals, where a significant amount of points come from and where almost all the franchise and league leading scorers are represented.

I played this game for years! So many great memories!
@azrie14196 ай бұрын
I played this game some years ago (played some old FIFA games back then mostly due to having a toaster laptop) and I personally thought its as good as FIFA 99. Seeing this video kinda make me want to play it again if not for the outdated gameplay. Also, I'm pretty sure you could look at the controls in the options screen though I might be wrong. Some stuffs about it: 1. There are a bunch of cheats that you could activate in the game that does crazy stuffs. There's a cheat where a player can get abducted by a UFO and your team is forced to play with less players until the end of the game. There is also a cheat where a player can get hit by lightning and is temporarily out of the match. I think you could also activate some teams made up of the developers and play at their HQ's pitch, 2. I think the reason why Ronaldo has fake names in old FIFA games is because they don't have the license to include him. Same case for Oliver Kahn (Germany GK in 90s and 2000s) and a bunch of other players I think. Edit: I just researched a bit and found that it might be because Ronaldo is licensed to another football game: Ronaldo V-Football on the PSX and GBC. 3. You should've played with the classic teams. I'm pretty sure this is the only FIFA game with proper classic teams. If two teams from the pre-1960s are picked, the screen turns black and white. If its teams from the pre-1970s, the screen would turn sepia. 4. Port Vale, a team that played in the English third division at the time, is playable in the game because Robbie Williams (the one that sang the game's theme music) supported the club and included a part in his license agreement that he wanted the club to be included in the game. 5. I'm pretty sure one could add a lot of teams into the game using an unofficial editor
