Thank you Jessica, in his book on raising teens in times of anxiety, John Duffy says that in this era of massive trust deficits, mighty parents are those in whose presence their kids can voice their deepest fears and scariest concerns. It calls for a lot of reframing for parents who strive to bring up wholesome kids.

Neerja maa’m I searched for this video after i attended the SAA caregivers hybrid meet today where you were one of the panelists. This brings goosebumps as I hear your story. I am left with a question mark though.. as to what is the right approach as a caregiver. I understood the” shut up n listen” thing.. You are right Chaula, eery Sunday, for several months, Aqseer would host listening circles in public spaces in Delhi such as the Humanyun Tomb...Delhi is full of these pearls. The community however, has to be prepared to permit behaviour that they do not fully understand.
