How was the 50.4 PPG pick ripped on? NO ONE will ever average that again unless the game gets extended or they add a 4 pointer. Wilt was so dominant against his peer where we wont see that domination again

No one is getting it, but the point was the game is trending towards more scoring and less defense (14 more ppg by teams in the last 10 years trending more and more every year for the most part), so it’s not a first round pick. Where it was drafted matters.

@@Fent-Prepare to be floored. Saw Bill Simmons argue that it could be broken and that was in like 08 when NBA’s scoring had been the lowest it had in decades. Also, Harden had what like 36.something a few years back..? Add 2 free throws and a three made a game and you’re over 40 pretty easy. ESPECIALLY with how good guys are at drawing bull shit fouls now I’d argue 40’s broken in a couple years max

Exactly. Klemmer and WSD had peanut brains for that argument. Yeah, steals are up but Acuna only had 70. A player would have to do that for TWENTY seasons just to catch Henderson. That's unbreakable

Michael Phelps gold medal record not being taken is criminal. He has 23 gold medals and 2nd place is at 9. Not only do you have to play a sport where there are multiple opportunities to get a medal each Olympics but there are 4 years between each Olympics so to be the best in your sport for 20+ is unheard of.

Jerry Rice 22,895 receiving yards. Next closest is Fitzgerald and he's almost 6k away and played for 18 years. It's conceivable with the passing records now but I don't think any WR will play 20 plus years and hold up like that. Rice had 1200 yards at 42 years old with the Raiders.

Klemmer and Dave acting like the stolen base record could be broken is crazy. You’d have to steal 50 bases every year for 28 years to be 6 stolen bases shy of Henderson record. Not to mention the fact that base stealing guys usually slow way down after 10 years. It’s literally impossible and Klemmer was making me mad acting like there is a shot it will be broken

I agree with you 100%. It’s also so funny to me how Dave has to make dumb selections and go “you physically can’t break that record unless rules or fields change”, then the argument against the 50 ppg is that they might add a 4 point shot.

The simple argument against Chief's Pete Rose pick is that Ty Cobb did it and then Pete Rose did it 60 years later. The secondary argument is that with modern sport science, stem cells, nutrition & fitness, Eastern training, it is possible guys can play into their mid to late 40's.
