Yeah, the other comment is also complementing your videos. I just wanted to say I found you from your "Is Kirby a flawless franchise?" Video. I watched it, saw your subs and was surprised to say the least.

On your Hyper Light Drifter section: How exactly are you "wrestling" with the controls? In its most basic form, HLD is a two button game, dash and slash. If you're referring to how sluggish the dash can feel, that's because there's a purchasable upgrade for infinite dashing that also reduces the delay between your base 3 dashes, but you need to press the button rhythmically to get the increased dash rate, as spamming the button with or without the upgrade results in increased lag, the base dash is limited like this so that you learn to be more decisive with its use, so that when you get the upgrade you can make better use of it. The game wants you to be precise, calm, and aware during battles, frantic panicking and button mashing is hard punished by the game design, and that's likely where you felt the most pain with it. Also, in regards to the hyper light cells, the pink diamond shaped items tied that gate the game's progression, you said the game just had you run around in circles looking for them? The NPC you meet at the beginning of the game that takes in The Drifter, they're called The Guardian, and you can find in in all 4 of the main areas somewhere on the surface, talking to him will always reveal the location of 4 hyper light cells in the area you find him. You only need 4 in each area to reach that area's boss and unlock the final boss, any additional cells are completely optional, that's why most of them are keenly hidden, as only those wanting to complete the game would go after them all, so making them hard to find makes the process of finding them more entertaining, whether someone needs to use a guide or not, this is simply how a Metroidvania is when going for 100%. I understand that the game doesn't tell you any of this and that it's frustrating, but again, as a Metroidvania, this is by design, the same way your not meant to know the best route through an act in a Sonic game, metroidvanias like Hyper Light Drifter are meant to be something you have trouble with on a first playthrough, and then derive enjoyment from improving at with each additional one, you have to put some time into it to get the most out of it like any other in its genre.

These are totally fair points. I plan on getting back to this game soon to give it the attention it deserves.

Please, PLEASE, you need to cover Furi in a full video at some point. I think its such an underrated game that has a ton of love put into it. Honestly, I'm baffled that its somewhat obscure.
