Many strange things happened on the day "THE MESSAGE" happened, and those things were not include in the documentary film, THE UNDEPARTED. Christopher McGuinness takes us for a Deep Dive into the events of the day and how "The Message" came to exist.

My personal life drew me into this shop, and my curiosity with interesting people and stories led to this film.
Producing this documentary has opened my mind to the possibilities of energy lingering and slowly dissipating with time, like a footprint in concrete.
There are things I wish we had had the budget to do, that I feel would have increased the emotional honesty of some of the things that happened during the process of filming, but I am really proud of the work our team did on this documentary film and I sincerely hope you will open your mind to the honesty and thoughtfulness of this film, on this subject.

The reason I had such a reaction to this I'm afraid is a very long story , it's my belief that the sound was connected to my mother's first husband whom at the time as a child I had no knowledge of so whatever not even to the fact my much older sister was my half sister . Strange things started to happen when I was around 10 years old , misplaced items and noises , a feeling of something solid sitting at the end of my bed , the most incredible to my estimation is the ticking that sound you aired was almost identical , I used to here it all the time in conjunction with the only way I can describe it radio signals and mens voices and a crackling sound, tugging on my pigtails walking up or down the stairs ( always there) I'd convinced myself by the age of 12 that this wasn't something to fear but to embrace , my parents both religious saw it differently unfortunately and I then kept all of this to myself . I have my own theory as to who and why this was happening, as I said very long story going back to the 1940's , thankyou so much for your response towards my comment . The ticking has a great significance in both my experience and I suggest probably yours too.

I wish I could find history on the house I grew up in. It was built in the 1940s but not much more info on it. It's a long story as well. A lady died on our front lawn and can't even get any information on that. I often think of calling the current residents but sometimes I get the feeling of putting energy in to it makes it stronger. Even just typing this I get the feeling to not acknowledge it.

Thanks, with or without knowing it you took my suggestion of going back to that antique store, interviewing and looking for more paranormal evidence. So thanks. I myself experienced some Supernatural or paranormal events after moving into an apartment where someone died. I would see blue orbs that would pass quickly by. Sometimes I would wake up and look out the window and things appeared to be in a different dimension, such as unusual not natural movement of the trees, an Erie effect of snowfall melting and in unusual patterns, the buildings didn't look natural either as though they were toy buildings. There were people walking around that looked like they were disabled when they were not and they were walking aimlessly. I don't live in a drug-infested community, this was very unusual. Also there were hot and cold places in the apartment, mostly unusual cold spots. I lived on 2nd floor but I kept thinking I was really on first floor. These facts gradually diminished over the next few months, but the blue orbs continued and I would wake up out of a dream to see a bird's nest in the wall, that lingered for some time, but there was no birds nest there and the hole closed in around it, before I could get a chance to get close enough to it to reach out to touch it, though I would probably not have wanted to touch it. But I could swear that I could have stuck my hand in and pulled out some of the nest. This by far is the strangest one and it did happen more than once like three times, but had I reached in and pulled something out, I think I would have changed Destiny forever. In fact considering, it might have killed me. So yes you want to keep digging for yourself around this very haunted antique store. What I experienced actually to tell you the truth wasn't scary, but it should have been, it did feel like there was a demon presents but somehow I felt this presents was more about the person that passed on then me. There were a lot of things going on, some of it very hard to describe. Thanks very much for your video. Take care.

Loved your documentary. It was so well made and in my opinion you kept a very unbiased viewpoint throughout. Kudos to you and your crew on such a great job. Liked this follow-on that explained a few more things that went on. I would interesting if you repeated another documentary on this same place now that a "cleansing" was done both on this place and the owners home. Did it make a difference? I believe the tree was a coincidence. It looks like an old, sick tree anyway. Remember, no one has ever come up with a an explanation for how something totally immaterial can interact with something material---which was a big hole in Descartes's philosophy for a start.

Interesting fact about your comment with lights... People whom are empathic, can also make it so lights flicker on and off or turn little things on or off. Not on purpose, it happens when someone empathic is over excited, or angry/stressed... So yeah sometimes it's just something electrical, sometimes it's spirit, and sometimes it's a living person as well! Just a little interesting fact!

Our tv would gonly fuzzy s and mum would show us spirits visiting in the screen. It was an amazing experience to feel and see. I still do it today and taught my kids and grandchildren. My husband finally believed that we had something in our house when one night our bedroom light just kept going on and then we’ll go off and I will go on and then we’ll go out. Finally it went on and it was going on and I’ve lost my patience and I yelled to the room enough it’s bedtime in my best mom voice and the light went off. He never question me again

Sounds like an electrical issue. Could be the wiring or a faulty connection. Take the light mechanism out first and replace. If it persists, then you know its a wiring issue. Same thing for a bulb. Just take it out.. Process of elimination before you assume it's invisible energy that is intelligent.

k, in your last video, I told you about my house...a little. One of the issues? I was buying a case of lightbulbs every month. a CASE. Though a master electrician had redone the electric in the house including the panel just before I bought the place (now I wonder why), I hired another master electrician (these guys are expensive!) He took stuff apart, was here like 5 hours, searching for what could be wrong. NOTHING. So I am NOT skeptical about flickering lights, at least not in this case. It was blown out bulbs, by the way, though lights would frequently switch on and off. Now I buy ONE light bulb, maybe once a year, and they just go out. No boom.

If I remember on one of the episodes they wanted to or tried to close the portals. I feel with portals is that everyone suggests that we must close the portals of particular hauntings. I believe that yes portal's can bring I guess?? Wanted and unwanted entities. Perhaps the message is leave the portal open??. Because there may have been good souls stuck with some bad entities. And with out the ability for other good entities to come though that particular portal to help or assist the good light in that building. Would create a very negative situation between the entities that may have been blocked from returning to there dimensions to be safe. I'm not sure if this makes sense. But very very often when attempts are made to return entities to where ever it is they belong often tends to fail. Things quiet down but seem to eventually heat up again. Fantastic show. Definitely deserves bigger budget as I feel you may be on the journey of some extremely important information in relation to the other side. The tree I feel wasn't a bad thing to happen if a bad intention was to take place. Make no mistake someone would of been hurt. I am not sure what to think or say. I always have been a skeptic, but I have had very unsettling experiences in three different properties over my lifetime that I could never definitively explain. In one case, I thought perhaps it was energy levels running deep in the earth that caused the problem, and it was silly to attribute it something supernatural. However, I was never able to prove anything either way. I know at least one person who has always been very "sensitive" to this sort of phenomena. I have never been sure of what to think about her either. The only thing I can say for sure is I am glad I am not someone who is "sensitive" to these "energies," for the most part. If I were those people, though, I would sell the property to developers and move on! 😄

Are you able to hear it on your end... To me it kinda sounds like an old self winding wrist watch that every so often has a tick in the middle of the ticks, which has a little different sound.

Depending on where you live in Maryland - have you ever heard of Loch Raven Reservoir? It is in Baltimore county. There is an interesting book called “What Lies Beneath” by Ann Blouse and Cynthia Mann. They are from the historical society in Baltimore county. It is about farms, mills and towns that were flooded to create the reservoir. There is still an area which we used to call ‘The Picnic’ area off of Dulaney Valley Road. It was on the north side of the reservoir. It was sometimes quite spooky there. It was a beautiful area. I think it is still a fishing center and skeet and trap center. So, the area should still be accessible.

I'd be interested to find out that ticking sound , I've experienced that sound almost identical I thought it was a watch , the sound was heard often and not only by myself in different properties, the sound I heard on your recording to me made me extremely anxious, this along with strange smells sounds my parents dog refusing to ho in the areas where the sound could be heard , things and belongings going missing and reappearing .

It is a legitimate thing to do. That's why who work in this question ourselves at first too. But then after these things happening over and over we realize there's no way that these keep happening. You used your own intuitive sense and it guided you to The Message

Has lights ever flickered in your home or business, mine haven't, ever, lights just don't flicker, maybe one flick from a short, but lights don't flicker, I doesn't mean every flickering light is a ghost, but if there's other strange occurrences along with it, you have to wonder.

Actually our master bathroom lights flicker often... I need to change the switch as there is something going on with the connection point... If it is off, it never flickers but if it is on... it does from time to time, but a quick up down and it goes away.

The audio interference is definitely a paranormal interference. Are you aware of a spirit box? It's kinda like that. They are using your real time voices to communicate with you. A spirit box is a loud static box that moves through radio stations really fast nonstop and spirits/demons will use those radio stations to form words or "a word" to the living. It's almost like that's what's being played here..... Have you tryed putting all the words that you can hear from that audio into one sentence and see what it reads? Your Sand Hill documentary was amazing just the way it was. I don't think you need to add more history as it often convolutes the haunting. If people expect to see, hear or feel something and they know the history, their minds will manufacture what they are thinking they will see, hear or feel. On another topic. No matter how hard I tried, I could not see the ghostly woman's face. I watched over and over. I did see what looks like a full bodied woman wearing a light nightgown with long dark hair in the mirror. Just to the viewers' left of the center a little before the segment ends. Her head is tilted slightly to the viewers' right. Now, since I don't know what else was in that room, it could just be a reflection of clothing hanging on a coat tree or something.

Thank you Amy! I would say compression makes it even harder to see the woman's face and I think this is a big reason we did not use this in the film and we want to show that we find things interesting but don't give that much credence... so we cut it it... I'm hoping if we land a series down the line we can share thoughts and things interactively... but baby steps. We are currently try to gear up to do more The Undeparted type content and create a Kickstarter in the hopes of making an Undeparted Episode II... I would like to share that I learned, when trying to get a photo of the entity in my apartment, that had been causing myself, and others, to trip on both the 2nd to last, & 2nd from top stairs. One day, for some odd reason, the thought came to me, to aim my camera into this curved front mirror, I had hung above the landing, on my stairs, and shoot what would be there, on the stairs. So, I did. Something came thru, sitting on the stairs behind me. Well 3 things did 2 small things and somethingnsitting behind me, on the stairs. So, you may try that. It worked for me. Ull try to send my photo, via email, if I can get an address. Thanks!
