There's one thing I hate in the Undertale Community, and it's how a lot of people bastardized Sans's characters, always making him this super emotional character who wants to kill you to get revenge for everyone, when he's the literally opposite of that. I feel like this happens because there's two types of people that watch the Sans fight, one being someone who just watches the fight and doesn't read into the dialog, and other who does. Sans lost his will to care a while ago because what's the point when there's this person with the power to bring back everything to square one.

He's laid back, calm, and never really shows emotion. The few times he does (twice out of over 100,000 words), it's subtle and a pretty bad or surprising situation (Gaster, who in the story is his dad, gets saved after over 10 years, yet he barely shows emotions still)

Oh God I remember the comic dub days. I watched hour long videos of those, all that time lost. And all the AUs, so bad. But I still go back every so often to look at fanfiction and sometimes they're even good (been reading Inverted Fate and honestly so refreshing to see an AU that keeps the personalities the same but swaps their roles). Undertale Yellow coming out is absolutely insane and it's high enough quality that it feels like a commercially released game (my God the Neutral ending), I genuinely hope the team makes their own thing.

Hearing "Stikbot Central" awakened some long forgotten memories as well. Loved that channel as a kid. Will live and die by Off The Grid. I was that kid who's entire life became revolved around undertale, but the ironic thing? I didn't own the game until like 2 years later. At the time undertale was only on devices i didnt own, but i so desperately recreated it in anything i could. I scrambled together toys to Frankenstein together into undertale characters like sid from toy story, i built undertale legos, i played geometry dash undertale levels, made undertale mario maker levels, and undertale badland levels. one time my revenge the unseen ending act 3 level became the #1 level on the bad land trending page, badland is a pretty dead game so i competely dominated the platform, hell i even bitched at a dude for making undertale levels because "i am the reason undertale levels are popular on badland" and then immediately flip and encourage everyone to make undertale levels. I bought all the bootleg undertale plushies and made videos 2 YEARS IN ADVANCE of actually having a youtube channel. Good times.

Recognized almost everything in this video, but hearing crashboombanger's voice really took me back. Dude was huge on tumblr back in the day before dropping off the face of the earth, I fondly remember his undertale and transformers stuff, I really hope he's doing alright and is happy. A lot of the "fandom" voice actor from back then have just disappeared.

As someone who has been in the Undertale community when i started middle school and stiil am, it really shaped me as who i am today and helpped me meet so many great people who love Undertale as much as I do. Im a full on Undertale nerd for the characters, AUs, and remixes for the AUs. I got an entire Undertale KZbin playlist filled with fan animations, funny videos, and remixes that has 433 videos in it, and i listen to those remixes daily. Anyway i love the video, had me gone down memory lane and great times when i was younger.

In sixth grade we had to make music videos, and my group almost did Sans/Chara "Stronger Than You" In class we wrote some coreography ideas down but didnt get far because outside school, communication was bad (None of us had phones yet) and we couldnt find a time to film it. We did a last minute “stressed out” by Twenty One Pilots instead.

I know a lot of people trash on the AUs, but they have a special place in my heart. Like yeah, a lot of them are pretty out of character, cheesy and yes, even "cringe" in some cases. But aside from the weird pron ones involving all that incst and frans shit, they were made mostly for fun. The way I see it is people saw a character they really liked, and were inspired to create their own versions. And hell some of those AU creations led to amazing passionate creations such as underverse, which is still going to this day! Although lately the creator is taking a break because the fandom has been stressing her out lately. I'm rambling, but what I'm getting at is even if you think of those AU creations are weird and overly convoluted, they were made out of love. Even if they aren't like the game it's based on. Maybe I'm just trying to justify my own bias since I'm still into it.

Holy shit the realization of just how deep you were (and still are) in the rabbit hole really hits you stright in the guts with this one, like wow, it has been quite the journy hasen't it? Since we're talking about absolute masterpieces made by undertale fans (... and the degenracy but that's beside the point-), I recently learned that Handplates (yes, THE UT fan comic) has officially completed its story at the end of 2023! Highly recommend checking it out man, it's brilliant. (Deeperdown is also still on going! It's another fan comic that was made in the early days and it's phenomenal) (I think Horrortale comic is still going to- props to these creators honeslty it has been YEARS) Also Way Deeper Down is a BANGER, I need to listen to it again fr- used to play that song on loop everyday

I love your channel so much because you are quite possibly the only channel I've seen that talks about all the weird shit I was into when I was younger, and still am into to this day. I can't think of really anyone else talking about all the different sides of the Undertale fandom, Nerdcore, Smashbits, Minecraft: Story Mode, Planet Dolan, Thinknoodles or ANYTHING like those. 24:40 I feel ashamed that I can even after not looking at UT aus for like 8 years now identify each of these sans and a vauge description of each Sans with the glasses is an Au where I believe either A. Gaster never died and he just worked as his sidekick or B. Technically an AU but a past version of Sans before Gaster goes into the core I think he's called Science sans Sans with the blood and scarf is Aftertale I think it's an AU where like Sans dies in a Genocide run but becomes like either an Angel or like God along with being able to Reset It's fucked up cause I know that joke about the spiked eggnog is actually what happens Swap sans (which is the sans thats just blue papyrus) spikes the eggnog and no one ever finds out I'm gonna go stand in a corner and contemplate my life choices.
