Cheers Jonas! I've actually just substituted the modern English with Old or Middle English. It's not an accurate translation by any stretch of the imagination, but it gives a very cool effect where the words are strange, but still close enough that you could follow along if you needed to. And the German roots of the language really come to the fore!

Angles-Saxons were a German tribe before migrating to the isles. Old English still wears its origin on the sleeves

It certainly does. Something I'm finding as I'm doing the substitutions is the huge influence of French and Latin on modern English as well. I mean I always knew they were an influence, but I guess I never quite realised how much. Probably half the words I put into the dialogue are from a French or Latin root. Which can be a pain because I'm trying to avoid using them to keep the Old English flavour to the fore!😆 Needless to say, it can involve a lot of flicking through the thesaurus!

Amazing how much effort must have gone into this. The buildings, the boats, all, the board. It looks super good and is very narrative, not to mention all the editing efforts, sound and video effects etc. One thing, that I feel would be the icing on the cake would be some nice backgrounds for the story shots. Jon Hodgson has some nice stuff there, that I feel would suit the vibe. Like any reasonable person, I do dislike those pesky elves, but seeing them butchered in this fashion by the undead does make me feel for them. It kind of felt like all the tough luck the undead had in the previous engagements has now turned around completely. Or maybe those elves just became to weak on their presumed island safety... (or maybe Joe overpriced them, like many people are saying :D )

It's certainly taken a while to put it all together! You're absolutely right about the backgrounds, and it's been annoying me for a while now. I've actually got a small green screen on order at the moment to hopefully make them easier to edit out and some proper art would be the icing on the cake for sure! The change in leadership has certainly had an effect on the luck of the Undead, it's a complete switch around! But that cavalry charge at the start was just heartbreaking.

Absolutely fantastic! I almost feel sorry for the elves. If only the undead had rolled so hot under poor old Moxis. I love the Crimson Remnant, they look so striking. Hope we see more fallen enemies among the undead in the future.

Happy to see this campaign continuing! It is looking like this is the campaign of necromancer losers, though. Trying their best with the hand dealt to them, but still too...human. It's telling that Incorporix basically told Gideon "lol your undead just swim underwater n00b". The elder undead have little patience for these youngsters. Also noticed that when the elven cavalry got slaughtered down to one remaining horse-elf, the unit name for the dice cam was changed to "Rider of the Hal Anor", singular.

Cheers Aramis! Poor old Gideon just wanted to gain some power and unlock a little forbidden knowledge and now not only is he one of the Undead, he's also in thrall to an ancient evil! But those are the risks! 😅 Yes! Same with the Wyrmreach Spears. Though sadly I missed a couple of the titles. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often to be honest, but I'm kicking myself for this one nonetheless.
