The Unearthed Series Episode One - That's the Spirit: Growing Organic.
Eco-Chef and Food Writer, Tom Hunt, recently visited Waterford Distillery to explore the farm to bottle provenance of our Organic Single Malt.
That meant boots on for a trip with Head Distiller Ned to the Jacksons in Co. Tipperary, whose organic barley has been a mainstay of our Organic: Gaia for every bottling. They talk about the lengths they go to through the old ways of farming; the importance of weeds and worms, of every plant having its place, and of returning life and nutrients to the soil to, in turn, enrich the barley and its resultant Arcadian Single Malt Whisky.
