The funny thing to me at least. is that the title "The Unexpected Race" makes it sound like a Hunger Games-esque young adult dystopian story, and what we have instead is a Twilight-esque fantasy romance story, I'm not kidding, the Twilight parallels are very apparent when you stop and think about it: Teenage girl moves in with her estranged father, meets and falls in love with a mysterious supernatural immortal being and there are scenes of them frolicking about in the woods.

A cameo by Jack Black does not make up for the absence of flute elf, a flaccid Lythorin and a shot-for-shot remake that did nothing to justify the effort. The GB or BB end scene was more entertaining

Long time viewer, but rarely ever comment. Congrats on 200 episode! It's been wild seeing you two improve the show throughout the years, and never loosing that charm. In particular the episodes that include random freakouts like the Billy Owen episodes, the 70s Captain America rant of Steven Roger not using his shield, Kyle's meme of "it's art" becoming a running joke, Pizza Face Cinder Block, and so many wonderful memories. Keep it up you two! Also, is this subtle foreshadowing to episode 300 where you will remake episode 100, and actually review The Room.

For the longest time I thought Groo had cast himself again in the remake. Weirdly, according to the documentary The insufferable Groo, he actually had a casting call and had some very 'elf like' actors on call...but he cast someone who looks exactly like a younger version of himself.
