The gear changing problem came from hydraulic actuator, you get air bubbles in the system and causes it to lose pressure randomly, you will need to bleed and rebuild it once in a while especially if you track the car, eventually you will need to replace it, I replaced mine at around 10k mile (5k being track mile) coz it started to leak pink fluid (transmission fluid) badly..

All the cars mentioned above the manufacturers produce thousands of cars annually, and have the learning curve down on what problems may surface. Ferrari is on to a new model after a few units - to a several hundred units are made (depending on model). Ferrari pure and simple are race cars, not daily drivers (even the GT versions). If it were up to them, they wouldn't produce cars with functional headlights, and creature comforts like Alcantara only adds weight, and frankly one needs a pit crew for maintainance on retainer. For better or worse, they make the cars to fund the racing, and that was Enzo's mantra. And while yes, they should improve - I don't think they can.

Well done!👍 The belief that everything expensive is valuable is absurd. It isn't just Ferrari's either. You look at the majority of Supreme's merchandise and a lot of it is trash and you would think for the price tag you would get something at least well-made and sometimes you do but not always and btw, Jay Leno refuses to buy Ferraris but mostly because he thinks the dealers and the company are a bunch of greedy assholes with no concept of a customer experience. Ferrari just expects you to jump through all these hoops, including sometimes having to buy MULTIPLE lesser models like the Mondial, just to 'qualify' to buy the Ferrari you want AFTER you bribe the dealership. One day Ferrari is going to follow Harley Davidson right into irrelevance and Fiat , Phillip Morris(missionwinnow) and the Italian government won't be there to bail them out again and I'd like to see them gone from Formula 1 especially, no offense to Charles & Carlos. It's corrupt that they get a Veto vote AND an additional $70 Million per season that comes out of the prize pool FIRST for what has been known as 'The Ferrari Payment' since the days of Bernie Ecclestone. Sorry for the rant but this type of dishonesty just bothers me. It's unethical, especially for the money you pay for those cars. Ferrai really does suck in so many ways.

I learned very long time ago that Italians have good taste and make many beautiful products, specially gorgeous cars. But.....their Achilles Heel is that quality is unfortunately missing in their famous car brands, like Ferrari. Therefore I never bought any Italian cars in my life, I do not want any headaches. I have seen with my own eyes the many weaknesses and issues of Italian cars and I do not want to experience any pain and suffering by owning an Italian car. Bottom line is this and I hope that Italy is reading this: Italians do not know or understand what "quality control" is. That is why they are masters in producing lemons.

You’ve not mentioned the devaluation. It appears you bought your car used, but new Ferraris’ values drop like a block of concrete. For eg, my Australian 488 cost $610,000. I took delivery in late 2017. Now, less than 3 years later, its market value is $450,000. I’ll never buy a new Ferrari again, and I recommend that nobody does. They make so many of each standard model that the market becomes completely flooded when the replacement model nears release.
@mohammadwasilliterate8037
@mohammadwasilliterate8037 2 жыл бұрын
Did you expect a new Ferrari to hold value?....Surely you checked before dropping $610k on a car?...If you put that money on say APPLE shares, Tesla shares, Microsoft shares, the increase in share price would have paid for a Ferrari for free by the time 3yrs ownership was finished, maybe 2 of them.

Your opening comment. "Nothing wrong with Ferrari build quality, the problem is with the users" That's willful ignorance. The problem with Ferrari's build quality is well documented and not everything stems from them not being driven regularly. There are so many videos on youtube where owners complain about the problems they've had with their Ferrari. You just can't blindly defend Ferrari and blame everything on the owners. A spot-on review. But I tell you another thing about Ferrari. I own a 1967 Ferrari 330 GTC (considered a budget low-end classic and low-rent Ferrari by enthusiasts who turn their noses down at it), here in Monaco I was given the opportunity to purchase an Enzo, LaFerrari ect. I don't want a track toy, I wanted a GT. So I bought a California, which I still have. And you wanted to hear what the dealer said!......"Why do you. want one of those for? You want a 'true' Ferrari!".......Snobs! In truth, it has proved to be mechanically reliable. But it's the niggles and below-standard quality that irritate. People may say "it's a Ferrari" . But why should we expect a below standard product for a lot of money for something you've had from brand new. The marketing men have done a really good job in protecting the brand, at the owners expense. You would never expect that from Porsche or Mercedes AMG, who's peerless build quality and reliability is the same in 10 years as it was from day 1. I don't know why I'm so brand-loyal to them. But my 330 means everything to me, as my father bought it for when I was born in 1967😥

Its not or never for the 348. the all analog 348 is the predecessor to the consensus best sports car Ferrari ever made - the 355. the 348 doesn't have the expensive to repair brass value and/or electronic suspension issues the 355 has. the 348 represents Less is More and Older is Easier when it comes to Ferrari Sports cars. Most anyone can work on a 348 on most repairs as while the 348 is not a grocery getter its definitely a daily driver. Also the 348 has a flat plane crank which generates the same F1 exhaust note as Formula one cars use flat plane cranks to lower the weight of the cars. the 348's exhaust note sounds "pissed." at $65k for a 30k mile or less 348 it's now or never before 348s become the air cooled 911s of the Porsche community. You can't lose with a solid 348. Slam dunk. No bigger bang for the buck out there.

No, it isn't normal to have those "things" on a car. Especially on a car that costs so much. So, basically, average Dacia is a better lasting than average Ferrari. We all knew that, you see these kind of videos but the best thing is a fact that a Ferrari convinces owners that it is normal. That's what I call a business scam. Make a fool out of owners and make them pay.

Note to Ferrari: if you can't make your products reliable, you're incompetent as an engineering organization.

It sounds as if the car keeps falling apart during the video.. And also....Why??? why would one buy...and accept(!) this irritating...boring sound of the engine of a Ferrari . A Ferrari is made to be unsold and left at the Dealer to just to look at!

I can understand quality issues in those really low volume manufacturers, or such as Ariel where the focus is purely on driving. But there seems to be more and more of these videos surfacing that show that Ferrari build quality is basically crap. They are a huge business but the quality seems like it's three blokes in a shed. I don't really buy the excuse of it being a high performance car either. At the end of the day many Ferraris come with all the extras...air con etc. That's hardly a stripped out track car. It seems like that they should go one of two ways. Ditch the pretence of a luxury finish (F40), or abandon some of the performance side and get the build right.

Ferrari is starting to gain the reputation for fast, pretty but unrelable cars. There are some other videos on KZbin that explain their restrictive sales procedure - you may buy the car but Ferrari control what you do. I have this experience with AMG too - minor recall they said - the car was away for three months! No apology.

Is this news for people? An Italian car having horrific build quality! I'm sure Alpha will do the trick. Or perhaps Fiat? Italians make quality shoes. Their pizza is pretty good also. Stick to those and you'll be a happy customer.
