They don't, they were already an advanced civilization when the humans learned how to create fire but their culture advances really slowly.

The life of an adventurer is far faster paced and more intense than learning from a tutor/school. That lifestyle change will force rapid adaptation and learning if the elf intends on living much longer

That's incredibly interesting and all, but I'm kinda sad that our beloved goth elves, the drow, weren't mentioned here. Their Eberron version is such a simple yet cool and effective twist to the original Drow lore from the Forgotten realms. Especially the Umbragen Drow.

I think I wanted to ask but is there any human-Drow liaison, like maybe a human married a Drow for either "diplomacy" (like trade deal or property) or a Drow who was essentially an outcast to mingle with humans? Consider that Drows are isolationist--except for Sulatar who traded with humans--despite not being malicious. Had an idea of a half-Drow (half Elf mechanics) who was a progeny of a human explorer and Drow tribal woman.

Duke5150 The idea is that for most living in Khorvaire, they assimilate into their home nation; a Brelish elf likely has more in common with a Brelish human than they do a horse-riding mercenary from Valenar.

I have a question that's really up for anyone who can answer, with those being more lore savvy than myself. However, looking through the races and classes that Eberron certainly inspires to play around with, my question is relating to the Dragonmark; or more specifically the aberrant Dragonmark. Is it possible for any race to gain this dangerous, unknowing feat? Is it bound like the more predictable dragonmarks are to the established races? I.e., Humans, Half-Elves, Dwarves, Elves, Halflings and Gnomes? I'm curious as to rather or not a more exotic race could develop a Aberrant Dragonmark.

AssertiveMan I would say that any race could manifest an Aberrant Dragonmark because they are by their very nature rules-breaking and weird unique things.

Any race can have an aberrant dragonmark, although it manifests more commonly in the offsprings of two different dragonmarked houses (for example, an halfling born from a Jorasco and a Ghallanda). For this reason, any sex and marriage between members of different houses is forbidden
