Man, i *love* the map maker in this. It really is sad that i hate a company so much, that i used to love so much. But that WC3 Reforged's "we own anything you make" thing was really the last nail in the coffin for me. Good run Bliz. Sucks to suck, but I'll likely never buy another product from them ever again. Least we can still go back to this gem and there's plenty of WoW private servers.

DUde I feel the same way! Love warcraft2, starcraft, and war3 and OG Blizz. BIizzard nowadays is a woke joke lol Just seeing the trailer of Warcraft Rumble was the final straw for me. But I just consider the OG BLizz and new to be differnt compaines, because they ARE...

Well in all fairness, you can't blame a company for saying "We own anything you make" when people use their assets.

@@oluftheexplorer9476 really? I don't think Unity owns Rust, or Cuphead, or Subnautica. You're saying that just because they might use some of Unity's assets, or it was developed in their engine, they should have full IP rights of anything that's made with it? I mean the new Halos uses the Unreal engine, as in "Unreal Tournament" engine. You mean to say Halo is owned by one of their competitors in the shoom'up industry? Should Microsoft and Apple own anything made using their home computers? Where do you want to draw the line in the sand, bud.

​@@killertrip10 they were just butthurt cause DotA took off so much and spawned an entire genre called MOBA. This isn't the first time, modern tower defenses began on Warcraft and StarCraft as well. They should have taken pride, not rights.

If you want to have a unit that does not have death animation, you can make them explode on death with triggers, so that it does not look clumsy. It probably won't work with heroes.

You don´t have to put a trigger to the peasants in the cave to attack you. In the "Unit Classification" you can click away the hook thats made at "Worker" and afterwards the peasants will attack like normal units :)

I always wanted to learn how to make a custom character, as in, take bits and pieces of characters models and put them together to make a unit that wasnt in the base game but I never found out how to do it

You can try out Retera's model studio. It is very easy to use model editing program, Though it is a bit limited in terms of changing materials. For changing material flags I use tw1lac's retera's model studio. Retera has tutorials on how to use it on his channel.

27:48 You can make little puddles without cliffs by removing check mark at something like "limit water boundry" or something like that idk. With it disabled you can make cute easily pathable puddles. It seems like Murloc's spikes were even in version 1.0 on their portaits despite having fins on unit model. Weird.

I had a Tree of Life as one of playable heroes. It is my favorite type of hero.

@@KingLich451 I did not finish the map. The Tree had average speed, a few spells from keeper of the grove and healing wave. It could root itself for faster mana and health regen.

1:10:50 Give all heroes mana shield. 🙂👍 I agree with you. spamming abilities is fun. You can make trigger spells that deal damage in formula with hero inteligence as a variable.

47:43 This is lazy. There are real fire traps in Warchasers. At least the first one you find (near mud golem hut) works like it supposed to. The later ones are lazy. Though it of course depends on what you want from it. Marking mines like that is nice.

How can i add more grounds to 1 type map, and how can i get classic graphic in reforge editor map

Go to Advanced > Modify Tileset and check "Use custom tileset." You can click tiles at the bottom and add them to your base. To get classic graphics, go to File > Preferences and change Asset Mode to SD.

Tried to install Warcraft 2, Battle Net Edition on mac airbook today... went to put the CD in, and low and behold, there was *no* CD drive... what kind of shlt is this. I then D/L the 'free' MS DOS version of War2 but deleted it as soon as I heard the midi version of the soundtrack being played... just why? 🤣

Go to GOG.com! They have it there and it's optimized for modern computers and works perfectly. With MP3 soundtrack instead of midi.
