I'm South American. I think English and political differences would be the greatest barriers to this Union, but it could work. Puerto Rico is a Latin country and part of the US with no big issues.

@@ProjectACHERON I think it’s the planet where Freya’s prospect is located on, the game avp 2010 takes place there, u know playin as the marine named rookie, stationed on the Bougainville class attack transport the USS Marlow, the Marlow barley got landing operations underway then a predator frigate showed up out of nowhere fired its torpedoes at the Marlow, cutting the ship in half, the Marlow was just about to return fire before gettin destroyed, the marines who did land on the planet got stranded

I didn’t realize about the Solomon’s being a planetary colonial cluster, I always thought it was the Solomon Islands on earth and that the Solomon Islands may have been reinforced by man made islands and tech to be some type of high tech offshore powerhouse on earth due to it having very Buisness friendly politics hence the Nostromo being registered there

The UA's lore seems a bit half baked, which has led me to adopt a headcanon that lists the USCMC, CCAF, and LACN as transitional stages of the UA Armed Forces.

Some questions, wasnt that 2 squads of marines sent to acheron? One thing i dont understand is why there wasnt another squad on the Sulacco for exactly that scenario to conduct an extract?

behind the scenes answer, would've cost extra to hire that much staff, and the movie barely had enough time to flesh out as many marines as it did for the one squad in universe answer, i mean even in the modern day the US military is slightly struggling with getting enough manpower to fill divisons, factoring in the difficulties with logistics in space and with the sulacco having just come off a rather harrowing deployment elsewhere, being at half strength is pretty believable. And then sending an undermanned force for a routine checkup on a far flung colony as a cake walk mission while they're technically on recovery, probably wouldn't really be that out of the ordinary

Cause Aliens Colonial Marines isn't canon as far as recent installments with the Alien IP is concerned given how that game has various plot holes and inconsistencies no thanks to Randy and Gearbox! Wouldn't be surprised if Ridley Scott confirms Aliens: CM as non-canon if he hasn't already.
