Professor Xiaoxing Xi, former chair of the Physics Department at Temple University, recounts his experience being arrested by armed FBI agents and snatched away in handcuffs in front of his family.
In May 2015, Professor Xi was charged by the Justice Department with passing sensitive US technology to China, based on emails he sent to his Chinese academic colleagues. It turned out that he did not do such things, and the government dropped the charges after Professor Xi and his family endured a nightmarish ordeal.

The mistake of them for arresting this smart university professor, because of his ethnicity, is the same mistake that they made for persecuting and discriminating the famous rocket scientist Qian Xuesen. Because of their action, China was able to launch their own rocket to space, and now has a missile that rivals that of the US.

You’d think that this is US trying real hard, however sinister the tactics may get, to try to slow down it being inevitably surpassed by China technologically, moves like this are just incredibly shortsighted, though not unlike all its policies. This century is all about who can attract the most talent mostly like between China and US, and US is becoming an increasingly toxic place for talented people to thrive in. Thanks Obama

Yeah they tried really hard to make China the enemey. If you noticed throughout history, America is pretty much the only country who looks at the world as the badguys. They will always set up a fake scene to make other countries look like it. 911 is one of them because after all these years they have yet to prove anything from the towers fall or weapons of mass destruction that they talked about. They just say that they disposed it or whatever, but havent shown the world anything. I could go into a cafe and say i ordered a coffee to my friends, but really i went in there to buy a bagel. Thats what Americans are pulling here, complete BS.

mr Xi, do the right thing come back to your motherland, do as Qian XueSen did in the 1950s, now Qian is a household name in China, and the father of Chinese rocketry, there are science ships in the Chinese military named after him. his plight was also due to racial profiling and false accusations by the racist american government

Yes. This only happens in America too!! They always suspect someone is a spy or a thief or something. Their ego is part of the problem, The think every other country is out there to get them.

Thats a load of shit coming from someone who isnt asian American in general. All I see is Vanity and corruption in the USA. Have you prove that weapon of ass-destruction exist? Have you proven properly that 911 was by terrorism? Because all the scientists in the world can prove to you that its an inside job. Construction workers can prove that too and everyone who lived said they hear many explosions in the building after plane incident, or if it is even an incident because there is rumor the 2nd plane did not hit the tower, but went behind it with a timed explosion. America also is the only country who problems with every other country in the world. The problem lies in America, not the world. Americans have a huge mental disorder.

I'd rather a 1000000 innocent people be wrongfully jailed, threatened, legally bullied than have America's enemies not be mildly inconvenience by our false, ineffective, and expensive security theater measures. -Homeland security policy.

Yosef Bisk Okay you don't like Arab Muslims. I'm American. It's cool if I store weapons with you guys while I "liberate" all the middle East countries with major oil supplies right? I'll let you borrow some helicopters.

Yeah, seemed I am the one defending the Jewish right to have their nation state, try to find another Nazi doing that! By the way, denying the legitimacy of Israel is the standard anti-semitic move defined by ACLU and many other Jewish organizations.

i am what i am, and i am proud of it... anyhow, it look like that FBI did think (after investigation) that guy is a commie ... and a spy.. that is why they start the whole process... it is different that they could not prove it... maybe they could not prove it because they obtain proofs illegaly by spying without warant or so.. but that guy did it... and that is not so hard to assume, consider that he is selling "human rights" in US but not in china (where he should have market for selling human rights, consider human rights in china are rarity)

For openers... Racial and national are two different things. Why does a physics professor not know this?
@holycow343
@holycow343 5 жыл бұрын
because he is a physics professor and not a sociology professor? But lets be honest with ourselves if a white professor did the same exact thing as this professor did, do you really think that the FBI will charge the white professor with the same crime over a pocket heater? One of my chemical engineer professor who is ethnically German brag to me about stories how he gave a tip to Chinese professors/students in a science conference in China on how to improve their efficiency on producing a nanoparticle. Turn out that tip greatly improved their research. My professor also speaks fluent mandarin too and yet he was never suspected for IP espionage to the Chinese.
