The most disturbing thing about the David Reimer case is that Dr. Money still wrote about the “study” as though it was greatly successful and either never bothered to follow up past early childhood, or didn’t care to include the truth in his study results. In an interview with David, he explains reading the study firsthand and how upsetting and disturbing it was to read about how the study, which caused great internal torment for him, as a huge success. I studied the case this past semester and it broke my heart.

@Captain McDog Because as long as the results are useful somehow, no one will ever ask where they came from. The nazis conducted experiments on humans about how the human body reacts to extreme temperatures, oxygen deprivation etc. and many, many more heinous experiments. Lots of scientists and medics did find the results of those insane experiments quite useful to this very day, they _do_ save lifes, so no one ever cared or dared to ask where this data is coming from. And the same can be said about medical experiments on africans during the colonial era and lots of other data coming from more unethical or even monstrous experiments. Being useful will _always_ be more important than ethnical ambiguity.

I am 64 years old. I am from Hollywood, and survived there for 48 years. This is normal in Hollywood, at all universities everywhere, and in the highest levels of business. I watched - in horror - as the nightmares of my childhood (I actually was never a child, I was a science project, a punching bag, a sex toy for the foul, dirty monsters who are running this world) spread out from Hollywood and sweep across the nation. When one of these creatures hurts a child - the monster MUST die. If you do NOT kill the monster, the monster will hurt more children, and will laugh and giggle about it. Monsters think that we are weak and stupid to allow them to live, and to allow them to feed on our children - while we do nothing/. As one of those children - who, somehow managed to survive this - I can tell you from personal experience that monsters NEVER stop. Not until you put a bullet in the monsters brain.

I've known a few kids who experienced a brief, trivial, inappropriate incident with an older child when they were toddlers. It was dealt with immediately, stopped, and never repeated. There appeared to be no damage and they had no conscious memory of the event. I've known a few people who had sexual relationships with adults as teenagers that they were certain was consensual and positive. And yet, 10-40 years later, they suddenly exhibited unusual anxiety about something normal. Maybe it was some weirdness about their own bodies as teenagers. Maybe it was an excessive anxiety over toilet training their toddler. Maybe it was near-panic attacks when their own children became teenagers and started dating. No matter how trivial or even positive it had seemed at the time, serious damage was done to the child who was targeted. "Fans of the playground" do serious, multi-generational damage every single time. Normalizing this damage is unacceptable. Yes, it is routine in some times and cultures to harm children in this way. That doesn't make it okay, it just means that the damage is more widespread. Non-offending "fans of the playground" can already seek help without legal repercussions. Offending "fans of the playground" should have no right to avoid consequences for their crimes because they want help now. They may get help in a secure environment, while they do time for their abuse. If the remorse is real, they'll be glad of the restrictions.

Money went way beyond David Reimer. He had an entire group of intersex children that he experimented on. Back then, the only surgical option was to create a female sex organ so that's what they did. The children that weren't well adjusted as they got older had the pressure turned up. He told parents to force the children into a female gender role. If that still didn't work, they simply weren't included in his "research" findings. Of course, all of this is alleged. Money's full research notes, patient records etc are also allegedly being stored at the Kinsey Institute.

Murder isn't the answer however I completely understand a father/mother's rage in the moment if something happened to their kid that would be understandable in the moment for everybody. The OP has valid points evil is prolific in the world and many are at the top. Try to think rational next time. Speaking from feeling never goes well especially if you jump to conclusions. I never once said anything about condoning anything bad happening. However just plain ending someone isn't the answer. Of course the judicial system needs a revamp. So do laws. But since the people at the top are 100% involved there won't be a death penalty (legally) for these actions.

I'm actually sympathetic to Reimers parents. If you watch the documentary about him, Money was very convincing with the credentials to back up his outrageous claims about social influence on gender. They're all monsters Sydney. My parents were both raped as children. Sadly, as is the case, both of the rapists were relatives. My father was 8. A year after his sister, my aunt, underwent the same abuse by an uncle. For over a year. My father remained an alcoholic and drug addict for most of his life. My mother was also raped. She was 12. By her sibling. When these monsters(I would never refer to them as people) are allowed into the hallowed seats of higher learning, I recognize that we really haven't evolved as a species. What is sickening in that those very seats are supposed to be attended by the wise and hopefully decent. Unfortunately, and I believe this may hold true for some but not all in academia, these persons believe(in their very special psychosis) to be the inheritors of a very old tradition; that of the Greek and Roman philosophers, who were known to, historically, keep young men and boys as lovers/rape slaves. Conflating groups that want to help potential sex offenders before they offend, with groups like the now defunct NAMBLA is pretty stupid and very offensive. The fact is the last time there was a push to legalize SEX with pre-teen children (pre-adolescents) was the late 60's with a group in Germany, and the early 70's which was the 'heyday' of NAMBLA. Since then we've done something no other society in history has ever done and compared the attraction to sexually developed teens 16, and 17, with the attraction to 7 year olds. We've (in some cases) persecuted teens for having consensual sex with other teens. We've prosecuted the sending of pics between boyfriend and girlfriend. We sent a man who imported hundreds of Japanese manga a month to jail because in ONE of them there were ILLUSTRATIONS of TEEN ELVES having sex.Guy probably didn't know it was there, as I said, he ordered HUNDREDS per month. Pictures and films that used to be perfectly legal are now illegal. Some people screech on twitter or other social media if they find out a college guy is dating a High School (not middle school or elementary) girl. All this nuttiness, insanity, and historical revisionism (condemning people now for thing s perfectly legal and even socially normal in the past)aside, can you tell me ONE politician OR ONE organization that has a proposal to either significantly lower or do away with the age of consent? Just one? Crap, at least teachers and things in schools really ARE trying to groom kids to declare themselves as gay or non-binary prepuberty. And often encouraging hormone 'puberty blockers' or surgery. I don't know anyone teaching kids or even teens that sex with teachers or adults is ok. It might be possible to realign their attraction towards adults--or at least establish habits that reduces the risk of harm to children--similar to (however imperfectly) how former alcoholics or drug-users avoid using again after getting clean. In that regard, I'm fine "normalizing" seeking treatment for an unhealthy mindset, if it prevents a pedo from ever hurting a child. The Greek culture, Secret societies and all manner of other organizations both public and private infest the campuses and groom the students in all kinds of ways. The hardest thing to actually get at a university, these days, is a Good Education. This is evident in looking at any job posting for an entry level job... which you can't qualify for as a recent college graduate.

@Chandler Burse The Greek Culture is referring to the Greek Fraternities which all have three Greek letters for their names. (Alpha Phi Omega) The Culture is the way those Fraternal organizations handle Recruitment, Hazing, Lifestyle, and the politics of their groups. You can have fraternities with 'special rules' and liberties that normal people don't have. You can have biassed treatment by the university when it comes to resolving conflicts and you can have universities that turn a blind eye to outright law breaking by fraternities. You can also have Faculty which are Fraternal Alumni who make this even more political.

@@rubewaddell1704 I actually had first heard about the brothers a couple of years ago from the channel Horror Stories. Which is appropriate. It’s ultimately angering and sad because the brother who was raised as a girl had actually got married and briefly had something of a life before meeting his fate. I’ve never forgot their story and how horrible it was and all the while internally screaming, “Where were your parents?!? Why did they not protect you?!?”. My wife and I don’t have children, but I know in my heart and mind how my parents would have reacted and treated this particular situation and they wouldn’t have willingly gone along with some quack doctor’s treatment of their children as an experiment. I've had questions on John Hopkins ever since I started following their Covid-19 tracker website back at the start of the pandemic. I originally found it to be a very informative source of data on populations and effective at allowing me to evaluate the local risk, helping me to avoid the widespread paranoia and panic the media was pushing. After about nine months I realized that while the current hospitilaization and fatalities made sense assuming they were correct, after even nine months there were never any statistics on the recovered, even though the website design had a specific entry for that information. The last time I checkedd, there still were no figures for that category.

We, the People at the very least need to petition for harsher laws against adults who do things like attempt to lure minors online and more. Just saying. The thing is... Attraction to children is something that happens in the brain... And whether you find these people disgusting or not is in a way irrelevant. You can have a person with psychopathy get therapy and live a perfectly fine life, even if they are at the bad end of the scale. If you stigmatize to this degree a person who has not yet done something illegal, why would they ever seek help and/or therapy to avoid it? There is genuinely something to be said of the destigmatization of non-offending pedophiles. Especially because we can in that case keep then away from environments that might entice. For example not letting them teach children, etc.

There is a massive difference between studying these disorders - through extensive profiling and brain mapping and all of that, determining WHY people are this way/become this way etc. and going on to study and trying to figure out if there are legitimate ways to “fix” them (for lack of better term), etc. - and in actively perpetuating them and their harm. Going about this in such a way where you are actively continuing harm of children (showing child prom is very obviously immoral and exploiting and harming the child that happened to) and promoting behaviours that would harm children (how would they using a doll that is like a child help in ANY way?! Obviously that would only serve to encourage it) is NOT simply “studying”. This should absolutely still have a massive “stigma”, and it can have while also trying to understand it and help to remove those desires. You don’t de-stigmatize someone’s desire to murder, do you? Why would we de-stigmatize people who desire to r-word children. It’s obscene.

Thank you for another great video and for your concern and empathy 🙏🏽 One of the MANY reasons that pedophilia should never be considered an orientation is because of the non-stop obsessive thoughts which occur specifically because it is a mental disorder. And people with this horrid disorder are consumed with sexualized thoughts that cause them to not be able to consider the humanity of children. They WANT to groom them. Apart from being quite dark and disgusting, the whole process is completely obsessive and consumes the daily mental energy of the perps. They either have been abused themselves or influenced by porn. The child is left with so much shame, confusion, pain, anger, and the inability to trust. Any healthy human being would never want to seek out vulnerable people specifically because they are vulnerable. It should never, ever, ever be considered an orientation. The media and schools also need to stop sexualizing children!!!

Do you have any evidence that this is the thought process of these people or is it just what you imagine it is? It seems to me that only two types of people ever talk about this topic. People that are entirely to sympathetic to them and people that are more interested in moral panicking about it than actually doing what will best minimize the number of children harmed by it. Are some people afflicted with a desire for children they had not control over? I don't know, and I don't think you do either. If the goal is to minimize the number of children harmed, then the phenomena needs to be approached without preconception and we need to be prepared for whatever dark reality is in fact the truth.

I love how these lunatics want us to feel for the lunatics they're trying to protect while forgetting to protect the actually vulnerable group. They do this over and over again and treat the world as if we're the ones insane who are truly interested in doing things right.

My son was actually looking at Johns Hopkins until we visited and saw the area in Baltimore where it was located which immediately changed our thoughts about the school. In hindsight I'm now glad my son went to another school.

@@josephleishman1982 well most classes you are in, its all about memory. and the professors never really help too much or provide much coursework. like 70% of your grade or more is literally just tests. and tests are, just memorization. there are motorsports and some engineering/mechanics classes that are more hands on. ironically, the engineering people are extremely unwelcoming to anyone not an engineer and turn away anyone wanting to use their equipment, even if you are highly skilled than them.

I honestly love your channel Sydney, but I gotta say that I'm struggling lately, all your stories just keep putting me further and further into a dark hole. Is there any way you could do a video every so often to give us a reason to keep going and keep fighting? Because it's seriously getting hard.

If you need something uplifting find some music channels you enjoy or animal videos or idk. There's some really great youtube channels out there. I like your suggestion but if it doesn't happen you need to find it yourself. Sadly I think if I advertise my channel will be shadowbanned again. Cooking channels! I actually start to get fat, lol.

@@justachannel8600 I gotta agree, JustAChannel - as trite as it might sound, a funny cat video compilation or whatever can usually go a long way toward turning things around when I start feeling dark - hard to feel gloomy when innocent animals are doing funny things just because.

I went to John's Hopkins when I was younger. Like, 10 years old, as part of the CTY program. Either things have changed for the worse, or I was one ugly kid. Come to think of it, I recall on multiple occasions the guy driving the unmarked white van looked me up and down and told me he was out of candy.

I'm a nurse & worked juvenile psych for a couple of years. After reading the histories on what happened to those kids, I began thinking a massive nuclear war was needed to wipe out all human beings. The rest of us are tainted by what those monsters did to those children. People are evil.
