I think the main contribute for e-sports to be actually noticed by the media was Leagues viewer count. League of legends' viewer count was actually higher than most noticeable tournaments such as NBA. As for Dota 2 Internationals It was there but media was quite focused on LoL back then (when they sold out the arena) that it started the question on if e-sports was an actual sports then slowly but surely the other e-sports started to get noticed most noticeably Dota 2 then media started to pick up on it

@@misterio10gre im not but its hilarious and when your game performance isnt even worth noting in comparison to other players then why should you bother? Like imagine if tyler1 was a mediocre player? Would anybody care that he is toxic as all hell at times? No he would be just another toxic player. But because he is ON the best team but only on occasion does well or even performs at all, he is popular.

Well they tend to focus solely on the title player of the video so in all of their videos they do not really mention other players. They try to avoid that as much as possible. I can see why too. They want to make sure that everyone focuses only on Joystick since it's his video. So if they were to mention that Dan was a big reason they won, the comment section light say "then why the fuck isn't this about Dan?". Lol I'm just guessing based off of observation

@@Nicko-NB if you watch canadians video they even mention Yung as the best support in NA and NVK being one of the best fraggers in the world. @@smitegrinder3854 but that is the same thing with college football and basketball programs in the U.S. Players have to attend classes to play for the team. But most of the athletes take BS classes and focus on their sport. In america we don't have university programs that allow people to join without being students. That is why they hand out scholarships to attract athletes.
