As a Greek speaker myself, I think it's important to mention that whoever translated this part did a very bad job. At 14:07 Giannis' friend doesn't say that at all. He yells "έδειξες εμένα;" which can be roughly translated to: "Did you capture me (record me)?" Basically asking if he was shown in the film accidentally as the camera was spinning.

Sometimes family members really don't know much about some of their relatives and in their eyes he might've been a nice person. It's easy to act like an expert but this can literally happen to anyone and your family member might be doing horrible things you have no idea about. Also, when a tragedy like this happens, family members are highly likely to protect their relative no matter what they've done. It's because they've known them their whole lives and they genuinely know only the "good" version of them, while they don't know the victim and to them, they are a complete stranger. You can say how terrible this is but you'd most likely do the same if your son/daughter became suspects of a murder for example.

I find it odd that the police haven't had the local caves and other underground structures like bunkers mapped so they could easily search them in the event of a missing person. Just seems like there are incredibly convenient places to hide bodies in the area and that maybe mapping and searching them might deter some from trying it.

@jaba paba You're talking about Greece. Crete is an island in Greece. They've had a police force since the early 1800s. She left the city limits of Chania, that's a town of like 50K people, and the crime rate is practically nonexistent. They were looking for her in Chania. I think this was more a matter of inexperienced police who usually do not ever deal with this sort of crime than malicious negligence or anything like that. I think that's the same reason they haven't mapped the cave systems in the farmlands of Crete surrounding their city. They need someone to think of these things for them, that's pretty clear, and they'd have to work out funding, but I still think they should do it. Unfortunately, humans seem to avoid being proactive at all costs, as that would mean extra work, and they're only forced into doing things that could've prevented a tragedy. Like if a little girl goes missing, and it hits the media and causes an uproar, they'd probably carefully search the caves and other structures and map them. But they won't do it until something like that happens, imo. Which I think is wrong, but that's usually the way things go. It's just disappointing when it can be seen coming from miles away.
@jademoon79383 жыл бұрын
@jaba paba Yes, he was primarily doing it in the farmlands where the caves are found, outside of the city she was staying and where the conference was. He was a farmer. That's why the Nazi bunker was so close to where he lived. It isn't in Chania.

It doesn't necessarily mean Psychopath. Alot of serial killers begin their careers by torturing animals, but they're not all psychopaths, some are sociopaths some are narcissists, some are neither, there's plenty of other disturbed individuals that just kill for fun. @DarkFilmDirector3 жыл бұрын
Did you watch the rest of the video? He didn't "just snap" or have a "possession". That's a total attempt by him to minimize what he did and deny responsibility. He is a serial killer and just like so many serial killers enjoy torturing and killing animals, has a history of violent behavior, and has an especial hatred of women. He displayed this behavior from a young age and should have been put in prison years before this happened. What actually happened at that moment was he saw an attractive women in a moment of weakness as he would look at prey and seized upon the opportunity to ambush her in such a way she couldn't fight back. It was all so he could have his way with her and get off on the thrill of taking her life. This was allowed to happen as a result of misogyny on the part of the cops and judicial system there in Crete not taking sex crimes against women seriously.

My God...I was on a family vacation in Crete around that time in the same city. I know that it's nothing but I still had goosebumps after watching this. The fact that something evil like this can happen on this divine island is incomprehensible. Poor woman

Hey boys, we have another one claiming something is underrated simply because it's good and they aren't the poster child for KZbin! Get 'em! Nick IS good though. However, considering the vast majority who watch him would agree he's good, and he's got a solid, large fan base, means he's actually not really "underrated".

@@fishinspacey Well, perhaps if people such as this conveyed their words better, then it wouldn't get brought up. Because no, 800k subs it's even close to "underrated."

@@iyeetsecurity922 they mean that he’s not as popular as other youtubers with MILLIONS of followers. and i don’t know why the people “correcting” them had to be so rude about it? like damn, if someone used the wrong word, who cares?
