One of the nation's newest concert venues is located in one of the most unlikely places. The Anthem, which just opened in Washington D.C.'s revitalized Wharf District, is an independent success story in an industry filled with global entertainment companies. Alex Wagner reports.

I love what Seth said in his response to her question about being too good to be true. "I work with the right people." A simple response but it says a lot about time management, execution, and teamwork. Working with the right people has a lot to do with how successful your goal will be.

I have seen five shows there now--Phoenix, Queens of the Stone Age/Royal Blood, Courtney Barnett & Kurt Vile, Morrissey, the National--and love it. Great sound. Beautiful design with a surplus of perfect sight lines. Atmospheric waterfront location (which presents a few issues in regard to accessibility and entrance, I guess, but such is life). Next up are the Killers and then Noel Gallagher. Cheers to Seth, I.M.P., and what they do for the D.C. and Maryland live-music scenes.

This is the best venue in DC hands down. I saw Brian Setzer Orchestra and Tycho there - Great seating positions, great standing positions. A truly amazing venue.
