As much as I enjoy his energy and content, I wish he would actually use and work with “weaker” Pokémon. Or at least level up more than one Pokémon before a major battle.

Problem is he really doesn't know the strength of pokemon. He passed on Lanturn but got excited about Lunatone.....They're pretty close to the same power. Plus he has a weird aversion to normal type despite it being one of the strongest types in the game.....I mean, gen 1 meta revolved around tauros, snorlax, and chansey, more than any other pokemon.
