I think we were better off without a 1966 movie not coming to fruition - as magnetic as their personalities were, their talent to make music was where they needed to remain focused. Thankfully they did, and we know what the ensuing years produced! Thumbs up for your interesting and entertaining podcasts - very much enjoyed! Great work guys. Terry, Albury, Australia.

Lovely stuff lads - love the info and the humour. One note - according to The McCartney Legacy by Sinclair and Kozinn, (p114) Allen Klein negotiated Let It Be to be the completion of the third film. That would explain why they were still considering projects post Yellow Submarine? I've read many variations on the subject of YS being considered the final film, but don't know the definitive word. Kozinn and Sinclair seem pretty thorough with their Lewishon like techniques, so that gives me hope!

Thank goodness they avoided making some of the trash they were offered. !

65, seems like a year where the Beatles could have gone down a safe showbusiness path with Elvis type films and being awarded government titles. Thank goodness they end the year with Rubber Soul, heading towards Revolver. The Beatles are the definition of the word artist.
