Maybe in the dry a thinner front tyre might help, sounds like the car was maybe trying to rotate around the front tyres power on or off.

Alex, the wet promotes some understeer that is helping to quell some of that oversteer mid corner. slightly skinnier tires up front will mimic a similar effect in the dry.

Alex before the series of races: I'm no tuning expert... Alex after the series of races: I AM A TUNING GOD!!! That Dodge Omni is a very rapid machine, it must be said. One of only two hatchbacks to completely monster a Ferrari (the other being the MG Maestro Turbo). Having said that, it was probably a Ferrari Mondial, but still - that's how you tune up what is essentially an American Talbot Horizon.

I shared a 5-speed Dodge Omni with my sister in high school in the early 90's. Nothing special about it, but it was fun to learn driving on. In the U.S., where manual transmissions are especially and increasingly rare, it led to a lifetime of preferring and enjoying them for the feeling of greater control of the vehicle and connection with the road. My fifth manual now is a 6-speed, and it still feels just right.

The Omni Shelby GLH was a surprisingly fast car. The car at first was a knockoff of the Goll/Rabbit. Iì worked at a Chrsler/Plymouth/Dodge dealership when they were introduced. The first ones had a VW based 4 cylinder engine using a carburetor. They then got a throttle body Fuel injection. They were OK cars. I did like the Colt with the 2 speed overdrive manual transmission. You ended up with a 8 or 10 speed transmission that was a blast to drive, As always, Thank You for the show........ thanks again, Bob from Virginia USA!

I had one of these in real life, car weighed 2350 pounds. With only 300 hp it ran 12.7 @ 113 mph with crummy 2.0 60ft time. Car became a legend around here, people still remember it 25 years later.

Mustang was better at lime rock but got taken out a couple of times and got stuck in traffic that race was a bust. At laguna it was even better imo, but battled with Russkiy, Ninetales and at the end also Glis, but could do mid 1:39 probably at least. What happened at Laguna 1st corner was that I got a tag from Ewan and went sideways into the 2nd apex. Wasn't the cleanest rejoin, but luckily didn't murder anyone.

alex and crew, try one of these events where u have to make one mandatory pit stop for fuel. (so all cars must start each race with no more than 4 laps of fuel) do any of u except this challenge

Good shit! Great little car. I've learnt, IRL, that FWD is great in the lower end racing cats. The handling will serve you so well. Moving up in classes, you very much need a sorted chassis to compete with the sheer power and downforce.

wow a racing game with a K platform car (pretty much all mid 80s-90s FWD mopars, 2.2/2.5l 4/cyl NA, Turbo or DOHC Turbo - Spirit R/T, 3.0 v6 and 3.3l v6 for larger cars and vans choices of 3 speed auto, 4 speed a604 auto, or the 5 speed manual)

Alex at Homestead-Miami amuses me. The time he goes through the final corner the best are the times he thinks he didn't get it right. You want to be to the left side of the racing groove there. The right side of the track limits is the end of the transition from the oval track turn 4 to the straightaway. Further left is a smoother transition to the straightaway. I wish Forza would use both road course layouts (turns 3 and 4 of the oval instead of that last section is the other one) because that seems like it would make turn 1 so different (more speed into the corner). But those we're a couple good to watch. Sorry, the Lime Rock runaway wasn't exciting, but at least we got to hear Alex logic when it comes to racing games, so that's a win.

Loved my trans am, not blisteringly fast but just pleasant to drive and decent paced. Solid performance and Lime Rock and homestead, got ensnared in battles and traffic in both races so never got a clean air lap in sadly, so no idea how fast it could’ve run. It was hard to get passes pulled off at homestead behind the wall of monte carlos since my trans an was lacking power but was a very fun race.

That Shelby Omni is as slow as hell (nerfed build). I had the tier under that edition and it's ONLY problem was it's bad shift linkage(broken like glass). No Redline 9,000 Tachometer and 100 mph was easy, though DON'T the front hood buckles at that speed... STUPID stable in all seasons. Got it 2nd hand, and someone put 215/55's on the front and it could burn out in 3 gears... Good mileage too!

Yeah I've got a fast Omni and had no issues with oversteer,then again I've only tested around 1 track, the Pontiac 90s trans am is also fast and would keep up.. or at least the one I have is faster than the Omni

I used to be that muscle car in a fwd race filled with corners, going sideways with every swipe, being a really big big mustang rushing off on the tiny straights, pissing off them Nissan fwd who are meta :’) peeps thought I hack :s (W.NFS)
